Three Dimensional Leader Abstract The authors of “The Three Dimensional Leader” dig into a deep study for Christian Leadership. It is carrying coordination among the noticeable worlds of the three dimension of Christian Leadership: Spiritual Power, Practical methods and Biblical character. Dempsey, Earley and McClendon assertion is “as we make progress in the biblical character, spiritual power, and practical approach of leadership, we can follow the illustration of Jesus Christ and impact the generation for Christ. 1 It is a pithy and informative way, that the book prepares rhetorician to be a successful leader among the Christian society. The first part of the book focus on the “Biblical Characteristics” that are essential to Christian leaders. 2 Leaders influence people for the kingdom through their Christ like character. 3 Leaders who are representing Jesus need to reflect Christ in their words, thoughts, attitudes, and actions. 4 The authors let us know that the Christian leaders are not to be put in a position of perfection, which is called the epitomize Christ like. This part of the book serves as an indication that the Christian leadership is not just about influence but to impact God’s kingdom. For us to impact the Kingdom of God, we must line up one’s character with the true principles in the scriptures and guidance, so the Christian leaders can set examples of Christ like in order to hearten others. The second part of the book focus on “Spiritual power”. According to the authors, the spiritual weapons empower the Christ like leaders to battle the forces of darkness. 5 The kingdom 1 Rod Dempsey, Dave Earley, and Adam McClendon, The Three-Dimensional Leader: A Biblical, Spiritual & Practical Guide to Christian Leadership (Bellingham: Kirkdale Press, 2023), 115. 2 Ibid, 115-116. 3 Ibid. 4 Ibid. 5 Ibid, 117.

of God is opposed by powerful and evil spiritual forces. 6 All of the authors indicated the concern of conditioning on spiritual weapons and tools that are possible for leaders by their faith. If we do not rely on the spiritual tools and weapons that are available to us, the Christian leader will not be following the example of Jesus. 7 If we rely on spiritual tools and weapons, leadership can evoke power from their firm foundation and pursue the honorable passage of Jesus Christ in encountering the divine test. The last part of the book deals with leadership for “Practical Methods.” The author’s oration the touchable know-how and capabilities that leadership must maintain to completely impact individuals for the dominion. As believers, we must be very careful to listen for his voice and not replace his voice with our will. 8 The authors say the struggle is real, daily. Nevertheless, the writers vigilant opposed to the squander of those factual tools and point out the understanding of having an appropriate logic and an honorable model for leaders. We know Jesus was the upmost teacher and a great example to portray. It is granted as the optimal character model for exploration of structure area of leaders. Following the model and teaching of Jesus Christ, leading will help the leaders learn how to flourish their abilities accordingly in their assignment to progress in God’s kingdom. As I stated before, “The Three-Dimensional Leader” allow a comprehensive and well format path for leadership to Christians. Because of the three dimension of leadership divided by the authors, it gives the readers a much clearer structure for growing and helping their skills for leadership. The authors made it very clear Christian that are leading must be biblically, spiritually and practically. In the book, the knowledge for following Jesus’ illustration constantly 6 Ibid, 129. 7 Ibid. 8 Ibid, 142.
reappears, improving the beliefs that authentic leadership for Christians is entrenched in following the nature and plans of Christ. From reading the chapters, I see this book is a thorough model for striving and present leaders, encouraging the Christian leaders to guide with truthfulness, spiritual boldness, and effective insight. Concrete Response As I begin to read through the content, my intuition was to acknowledge the leadership units that I can see contrast to those that are in the past encounters. It is very adverse to say that majority of the church ministry that I have been connect to in the past decades involves leadership who were not created on having a constructed powerful faith and was not letting the Holy Spirit led them. I have been in church all my life, I grew up in church, I have never seen what the seriousness of a powerful leader until later in life when I became a part of the leadership team and attending Theology classes. Despite the fact I became aware we as leaders cannot satisfy the needs of everyone, and no one is impeccable, there is a generous dignity for everyone. Nevertheless, I have to continue to grow more in faith and try to intentionally seek our Lord and Savior daily. I know I got to seek the Lord for myself because there are some false teaching, I am not in the position to talk other about their boundless results of everyone, but that as it may, I believe that Believers, we should take in accountability the actions and motives of everyone. There is an scripture that I am remind of, Matthew 7, Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 9 (KJV) Matthew 7: 17- 23, likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is 9 www.biblegateway.com
cut down and thrown into the fire. 10 I notice that anyone can harvest good fruit of the Holy Spirit by their own accomplishments. I feel as though if firmness is a major aspect that many seems ignore or do not even try to acknowledge, yet we detect time after time, Jesus Christ is main example for every Christian believers because of his coherence. If Jesus Christ was contrary, then there would be so many questions for everything that he has done. In spite of our wicked attributes and faults, it is so charming that everyone can still trust Jesus to grant every person to develop their faith deeper and have a greater love for Christ, along with producing regularly fruits that are require to grow the Kingdom of God. I will continue to keep leaders lifted in prayer among the churches and ministries because it is our obligation of serving the sheep which pertaining to Jesus Christ. We have to discern the influence to which our God entrusted to everyone to care for others. Reflection I noticed there a few things the author did not really speak on, it was the fact the leaders did not have no counselors or someone to mentor them for guidance and to speak directly into them. So many leaders and pastors who deliver sermons thinks they are keeping up with the great works, without accountability. This is coming from seasonal leaders and pastors that are set in their ways! For that reason, many of the leaders/pastors get boastful with self-importance is mainly because they have been running their church how they decided to. Since they are set in their ways, they tend not to want help or guidance from others especially when feedback or criticism is involve from mature and strong Christians. Some believes God will direct them and not others even though it is an unhealthy frame of mind, chiefly since we follow the biblical aspect it is also designed for rebuking one another 10 www.biblehub.com

but in love. Even among divine connections, we cannot be in a position to grow without noticing the mistakes we made from another’s mindset. There is a lot of detachment we can glimpse through one self therefore we are partisan in essence, either we eager to accept it or not to accept it. It would be very favorable for all authors to combine connotation of advice ship, which perhaps joined in the section with the biblical community. This would probably allow individuals to recognize the community yonder the assemblage of the association as being the congregation and leaders. It need to be a clear viewpoint on ability and connections that is created among the community and incorporate the connections among the mentors and leaders. Action After reading the required chapters, I noticed the book enlighten me on some things in order to help me grow. I have taken the action to enforce a better life of praying on the daily, reading the bible more (getting a clearer understanding of what I have read), I have not been willful on mediating like I should on God’s word. It is very obvious for me to read from my apps on the phone and that is day. It is only a scripture, meaning and prayer, then I am finished my reading for the day. As I continued to learn my courses, I now have the passion to become more willful in intimate life outside of learning the Holy Bible for church or college. I wants to be sure that my personal devotion to God become more passion and intimate because I know I will not be able to grow with it. In this season I will start opening up the Bible and not just read from my phone because I need to have a more intimacy with God I know it will make a better impact for reading. I will be able absorb the information from reading my bible especially when I highlight the points, underline the passage and take notes on what the scripture is saying and how it relates. I know there are times when neglecting the spiritual practices throws a curve ball when life seems to get busy but there should not be a justification. The devil is always busy trying to
devour us from our everyday life so he can keep us distracted for getting the achievement. God can handle anything and I take pleasure knowing him will. Here is another spiritual enlighten, I have been trying to integrate to becoming even more voluntary within the church community. We are the founders and leaders of our ministry, but I can say it was the grace of God for us to have some great leaders in our ministry where everyone can learn and grow together. We all enjoy serving alongside of each other to honor God wholeheartedly. When someone is struggling it is our job to lift them up, because we all are human beings and will be tested during our walk in life. We must continue to assert our self to extend to connect with others who God has given us a nature for and to continue praying for them because everyone souls does matter.
