Reflecting on Key Understandings and Biblical Principles
Philippians 4:8 provides essential insight into how finding meaning is challenging but
possible. For someone serious about Christianity and following Jesus as a personal savior,
sometimes it can be difficult to know what to do to follow the gospel. The scripture provides
concrete instruction for those wishing to follow the transformation that follows the renewal of
the mind
(Polischuk & Kang, 2020). This insight is important in an era where many classrooms
are embracing the integration of technology into the curriculum. While integrating technology in
classrooms is beneficial, achieving the desired change can be challenging. In the same way,
Satan gets to people through the mind until an individual begins to feel despair and anger,
amongst other negative feelings
(Lewis, 2019). Therefore, Paul offers advice on how to conquer
such challenges and emerge successful by training the mind to think about what is true than what
Satan is trying to make someone think about. Learners, teachers, and administrators should thus
focus on the positive aspects of technology integration that are likely to benefit them in the long
term than the short-lived challenges (Schrum, 2018). Hence, following the biblical principles in
Philippians 4:8 can help in the seamless integration of technology into modern classrooms.
Reflecting on Learning Experiences
The learning experience offered in this course was interesting and challenging at the same
time.
Some of the key challenges in achieving the desired results include a lack of motivation.
While students need to be serious about their education, teachers and administrators must follow
up on the individuals’ skills such as time management and self-efficacy. This move is likely to
ensure more learners are vested in the course because of the assistance and motivation from the
instructors. Nonetheless, learning about the different biblical principles and how they can be
3
applied to current issues was interesting because in the process the learners developed essential
coping skills for detractors of academic achievement
.
The most important learning experience of
the course includes how biblical teachings can be applied to modern-day issues. Netherland
(2018) notes that the bible serves as a road map for humanity. The principles described in it can
be useful in solving critical issues such as corruption, the decline in education standards, and
inequality. Hence, if someone wants to live a peaceful and normal life, then following the Bible
is the most suitable means. Thus, the course had crucial lessons and challenges that helped in
learning fundamental teachings about Christian life.
Analysis and Suggestions for Course Improvement
The course content and the overall experience provided important knowledge and
information that can be useful in improving the course. The first pointer is that the learning
experience significantly impacts the outcomes of the course. This experience is dependent on
factors such as the social, physical, and cultural environment that determine expectations, the
learners’ emotional states, and the motivation to acquire new knowledge. Therefore, the course
content could be structured to involve other perspectives from different religions to enhance the
teachings offered by the bible. This recommendation aims at promoting a culturally competent
curriculum given the high diversification due to globalization
(Young & Guo, 2020). Another
suggestion for course improvement is to embrace research-informed learning and teaching
design principles. The main focus of this discussion is to explore how technology can be
integrated into the modern classroom. Therefore, one of the key prompts is deciding the most
effective ways of using digital tools to advance education, other than merely using the available
technology without any expectations. Thus, it is critical for learners and teachers to apply
research-informed strategies that offer practical solutions to underlying problems.
