I am looking at Buddhism and Christianity for this paper. We will see how we can compare
these two religions and what are the main differences between the two. They both have beliefs and rituals that are worshipped and accepted by its believers. It is normal to want to know the answer to certain questions like is there even a purpose to live and what is the purpose of life? We see more than four thousand different beliefs in the world. Christianity is many different views in one. We see that some Christians believe in the Holy Trinity. Trinity is where you believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy spirit. You have Christians that only believe in Jesus Christ and God. “The purpose of life is simple it is to live life, serve God, find happiness, find love, and to live to find wealth” (Christianity.com, 2019). Christians believe in helping one another, serving God, and fellowship.” Fellowship is all Christians live there life together not matter the race or background in worship, educational activities, helping others, and just having good clean fun” (What is Christianity? 2019). If you devote yourself to God and serve him everything else will fall line for you including love, wealth, and happiness. “The faith tradition that focuses on the figure of Jesus Christ and has generated its own culture, set of ideas, ways of life, practices, and artifacts that has been handed down from generation to generation” Britannica, 2020).
Buddhism has existed for more than two thousand years and originated in India. Buddhist
have over “three hundred seventy-six million followers worldwide was recorded in 2019 and has only grown larger” (BBC, 2019). “Buddhists seek the path to enlightenment through physical and spiritual discipline” (MIndEdge, 2022). They have Four Noble Truths that they follow. The Four Noble Truths explain life is full of suffering and you live life to try and end the suffering. You have the Truth of Suffering, which is referred to as Dukkha, Truth of the origin of suffering, which is known as Samudaya, Truth of the cessation of suffering, which is known as Nirodha,
