Taking into account the principles, values, subject matter, and research methods of one of the non-Western schools of thought, answer the following:  If you adopted the principles and methods of one of these non- Western schools of thought, how would this affect how you frame your research topic? Would you be able to use the topic you have chosen in the same way? In other words, would the non-Western school of thought align with your topic as you have currently conceptualized it? Or would you need to address the topic differently because of different values or practices within the non- Western approach If I was to adopted my principles and methods to one of the non western school of thought it would affect my topic by possible influencing it to try new techniques and strategies when it come to a clients behavior. I probably would be able to use the topic I have chosen in a different way because I would change the way I would develop mine intervention plan. So it would change the ways to go about behaviors. Its hard to say it would not align with my topic because if my client was able to use different calming skills like yoga or meditation it could make a different in how my research for my topic would be looked at. So I would probably have to address the topic differently and use different research to combined the methods, principles, values, and research behind the different parts of psychology. Bhawuk, D. P.
