Shaping Psychology: Perspectives on Legacy, Controversy, and the Future of the Field The APA style of writing helps keep psychology organized in a functional way. This allows not only the reader to be able to clearly read the information but also to find out where all the information came from, when citations are used properly. The most informative part about the citations is that they can also include when the entries have been made or are most up to date according to the list of entries that can be found in a journal format. When looking at this page in how to use the APA style it has not only examples of papers, but also how to cite all your information correctly. This also helps avoid unwanted plagiarism that could inevitably cause a lower grade or expulsion from school. When visiting the website ‘apa.org’, or the American Psychological Association website, I learned there is a lot that goes on in the world that is under the umbrella of psychology. Currently the article that stood out the most to me was the missile strikes that happened in Ukraine and how there was a ton of psychologists that got to Ukraine as fast as they could to help with the mental support and survivor crisis that is currently taking place. This site is not only a way to help us see or learn what is going on in the world, but they also have an extensive research section that is talking about food, teens, working and unemployment.
