Hi Professor and class, I choose Reframing.  I liked this article for the way it described cognitive reframing: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/B978012810404000012X I liked this article for the way it goes into the statistical success of the framework and its effectiveness amongst youth: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/B9780128177525000068 Article review: In cognitive reframing, clients are encouraged to counter negative thoughts with positive ones and to battle the "all or nothing" mentality that feeds into depression and anxiety. After getting the client to this point, a clinician can move on to deeper levels of understanding like the differentiation between their negative thoughts, a ratio based rule (3 to 1 rule) to help outnumber the negative cognitions and practicing "in your head" or writing it out. (Hwang, 2016) There article also addresses how language and culture can effect this process within therapy. There must be pretty clear communication in order to follow through with this procedure. The effectiveness of this can be seen not only in group settings but individual and online as well as it increases social skills and reduces symptoms of social anxiety. (Andrews et al., 2020)  I have seen the effectiveness of reframing and believe it to be a powerful tool that can help many who are suffering with negative cognitions that contribute to one's depression and anxiety. Over time, the person's perception about themselves and their lives start to change. I think, to employ this method at the foundation of many therapies like DBT and ACT is pivotal to the success of many in treatment. Reframing is also essential in a group setting where the positive effects of the reframing can be exponentially increased within the cohesion of the group dynamic.  References Andrews  , L., Grover, R., Buffie, M., & Nangle, D.
