2 Module Four Activity Research Study: Organizational Wellness Programs: A Meta-Analysis 1. Summarize the research study’s purpose . Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. The aim of this research project was to investigate the potential impact of corporate wellness initiatives on job satisfaction and absenteeism.The findings showed that participation in an organizational wellness program reduced absenteeism and raised employee satisfaction inside the company. 2. A combination of research methods was employed in this study. The author additionally used electronic databases, like ProQuest and PsycINFO, to delve deeper and further examine the research issue. The study also used data and charts to illustrate data acquired during the research. Thus making it a mixed research method. 5. Describe the research study’s data collection method. Consider the following:  Possibilities for data collection include surveys, observations, interviews, archive review, objective or biological measures, or some combination of those listed.

According to the study, in order to ensure that no pertinent studies would be overlooked in the research, published and unpublished studies were assessed using electronic databases, reference sections were looked over, and publications and websites were verified. Next, the pertinent studies were divided into two groups: large-scale controlled and corporate intervention studies. 6. Describe the research study’s sample . Your response should be about 50 words. Seventeen of these studies—two dissertations and fifteen published research studies—met the inclusion criteria. These studies that satisfied the requirements yielded data on 2,480 people who were satisfied with their jobs and 7,705 people who were absent from work. 7. Describe one type of statistical analysis conducted in the research study. Your response should be about 25 words. Exploratory data analysis is one kind of statistical analysis that was done for this investigation. Using this, the researcher was able to thoroughly examine the data and concentrate on the relationship between workplace wellness and absence. 8. Describe one limitation from the research study. Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. Reading this study made me aware of one limitation: not all of the data from the primary papers they consulted were reported. There may have been more investigation. In this case, further information was accessible. 9. Describe how this research study could be used in personal and professional practice .
