The purpose of the article is about how even though homelessness is at a low in a decade, it’s still an issue within our community if could adopt the behavioral community psychology (BCP) approach, social problems through systems analyses, community involvement, behavior-analytic interventions, dissemination of findings. “Culturo-behavior science (CBS) can be one of these new voices by employing the metacontingency within a behavioral community psychology (BCP) approach (cf., Suarez-Balcazar et al., 2019).” It also states that in 2020 there was roughly 111,592 under the age of 18 that were homeless with their family. Women especially single mothers have a higher rating for being homeless, also women have a higher rating have mental health issues than men. And with this comes the worry of deeper mental health issues or substance abuse.

The article looks at teachers and how their experience with online teaching/learning and the effect this had on their ability to provide a quality education. “Lamented the loss of community but, for the most part, stated that their attempts to recreate the classroom community that had existed face-to-face failed” (Barrett, 2021). The article also shares the importance of establishing a better educational practice that does not exacerbate the present inequities in the classroom stating. Children especially with an IEP and/or 504 plans have been able to access the same level of learning as they did face-to-face in their learning environment as they are now seeing the effect it had some kids “set-back”. By that moving forward, it would be beneficial plans and policies to be created, implemented, to protect the rights of the children to be given a good education within our community and in or school districts.
