Written By: Sharon Hodges, Kathleen Ferreira, Nathaniel Israel. 'If We're Going to Change Things, It Has to Be Systemic:' Systems Change in...: Multi-Search (snhu.edu) Summary : “What does it mean to ‘‘be systemic’ in SOC implementation? How do the systems change activities represented in the conceptual model moderate traditional service delivery outcomes?”, (Hodges, Ferreira, Israel, 2012). The article was written to focus on applying systems theory with SSM (soft systems methodology) and SOC (system of care) to develop effective and lasting effort to guide the system change within our communities by helping children with emotional disturbances. Also, in the article a study was completed with a description of the process, effectiveness lies within the collection and not in the individual development implement systems flawed ineffectual that are being addressed. The results that were conducted from the study showed that there are 6 valuable exercises that can be used within other systems that may change the proposals or the projects. The researchers did state that even though they did find some positive results in the collective contributions and unified applications, although that the conceptual model has not followed up on any of the results or how the communities are going to be able to apply the concepts.
