2 Adaptations, accommodations, and modifications must be tailored to the specific needs, learning styles, and interests of each student. Determining the most advantageous adaptations, accommodations, or modifications for a specific student, as well as identifying potential adjustments to the curriculum, its delivery, the classroom environment, or student assessment, is not always readily apparent. Accommodations refer to modifications that facilitate a student's learning process. There are no alterations in the content of the student's learning, but rather in the methodology of how the learner learns. Possible accommodations for my lesson plan include including visual aids or utilizing the smart board as an alternative to reading from the book. Enabling pupils to have a visual understanding of the book's content using a book video. I may also own tangible props. Offering students an auditory rendition of the material through an audio version or utilizing books in the form of tape or CD. Facilitating collaborative work among students in group settings. Offering a reading companion to audibly read the material or articulate textual instructions and crucial concepts within the book. Enable pupils to enter unfamiliar words using an electronic spelling dictionary equipped with audio output. The student with a handicap will receive appropriate help to accommodate their learning skills, ensuring they fulfill the same expectations as their peers.
