Part 1 Clearly describe at least 2 of the theories (listed in this activity) that you have an affinity with as you reflect on your past career decisions and career processes you have experienced. For example, as you read about Tiedeman’s theory, have you experienced the decision-making stages? One the theory that I have an affinity with is the Donald Super- Developmental Self- Concept Theory. The theory helps people to understand themselves better and it's a process of self-discovery. I was always drawn to the humanistic side of psychology. I wanted to be able to help people, and I believed that I would be able to do that by understanding the intricacies of their thoughts and feelings. I know that my decision has been influenced by this Theory. Donald believed that personality is determined by how people view themselves and their world, and the meaning they assign to their experiences, which are influenced by their family life, culture, society, and other factors. It is also used for personal development for people who are not satisfied with their current situation or want to explore new options. Another theory is David Tiedeman- Developmental Approach. David Tiedeman's developmental approach is a theory that is based on the idea that people are constantly evolving and growing. It is a process of self-discovery and self-development in order to reach one's full potential. I have always been interested in pursuing an education in entrepreneurship because I was drawn to the idea of being able to create something from nothing. I also enjoy the idea of being able to work for myself and not having any limitations on what I can do or where I can go.

My experience with this developmental approach has been positive because it has helped me see my own strengths and weaknesses as well as those of others around me. The Tiedeman’s Developmental theory has influenced me more in career making decisions. The theory offers a better understanding of how a person’s self-concept is formed and what influences it. It also explains how to develop one's self-concept, which is crucial for people who are in counseling. The majority of individuals who are looking for professional satisfaction look for it in the role that they play at work, and by doing so, they are able to grow their own sense of self at the same time. It is not easy to mature in one's job; often it takes a person their entire life to get to the point where they are certain that they have matured in their work. Maturity in one's work does not come lightly. Research Part 2 (30 points): 1. Each of the 3 sites needs to cover a different topic such as one forcover letters, a second for career building, and a third for career counseling
