2 A behavioral entails a combination of four personality types which influence how we think, behave, communicate, feel and respond to other individuals in respective situations. These personality types encompass the DISC Temperament model of human behavior. A combination of these personality types identifying that individual can impact how they perceive others and how they relate to them and their respective behaviors. Carbonell (2008) expounds that people rarely find themselves in one category but they have a single dominant category and other respective dominant subcategories that overlook their personality traits. During my analysis of my Uniquely You profile and scrutiny of the graphs, I am surprised by the model’s accuracy compared to my personality traits. I significantly identify as a D/C behavioral blend which characterizes me as task oriented and sometimes, I lack the relevant people skills that would make me connect with others. Unfortunately, I am authoritative and direct to people even in situations that I feel I could have been understanding and kind. This model will play a key role in understanding areas that I need to make personal improvements, especially in rigid situations requiring effective communication with others. I have found that one my significant faults is that my behavioral blend becomes overwhelming at times and I face difficulties in conflict resolution. My public and private graphs are almost similar which is a concern and has reflected when I speak to my girlfriend making her appear like a subordinate rather than speaking to her like my equal (Uniquely You, 2023). I believe that my experience in the military has shaped my personality significantly is my service in the military. I was in charge of a battalion which emphasizes on the chain of command and respecting rules throughout my life (Schultze & Badzinski, 2015). I am going to focus additional time to scrutinize two other behavioral traits to

3 understand which characteristics identify with and can aid in becoming better in communication and being approachable.
