Request Help Request to Stop or Breaks Session Notes: Antecedent (A) - Physical Aggression Behavior The client's physical violence began when the therapist instructed her to tidy up and put her toys in a container. After a long play session, the client may have been reluctant to clean up. Behavior (B) - Physical Aggression Behavior The client hit the therapist's hand and tried to steal toys. This behavior happened once and lasted 3 minutes. The client's bodily behaviors showed her dissatisfaction as she tried to avoid cleaning and get her toys. Consequence (C) - Physical Aggression Behavior The therapist employed redirection and advised the client to express her frustration appropriately in reaction to physical aggressiveness. When the client calmed down and helped clean up, the therapist commended her excellent actions to communicate her needs and regulate her emotions. The therapist helped the client cooperate and regulate emotions by smoothing the transfer from playing to cleanup. Antecedent (A) - Property Destruction Behavior The property destructive conduct began when the therapist gave the client a crayon drawing project later in the session. The client was originally excited about the art endeavor, but sketching difficulties increased her frustration.
Behavior (B) - Property Destruction Behavior The client tore her sketching paper and broke colors. Her frustration led her to smash the art supplies. This behavior happened twice during the session, each lasting 5 minutes. The client's behaviors showed her inability to control frustration during art. Consequence (C) - Property Destruction Behavior After the property destruction, the therapist quietly collected the destroyed art supplies and offered the client different ways to express her emotions. The therapist also advised the client to request pauses when overwhelmed. This method taught the client healthy ways to manage frustration and emotions.
