Discussion Thread: Community Observation REPLIES
Reply #1:
Hey Kacie,
I particularly enjoyed your contribution to this week's conversation since I was able to hear your
perspective on your neighborhood after walking or driving about it. This conversation question
piqued my interest because we are all taking classes online and reside in various states or even
areas of the world, so we all have distinct communities. So it was interesting to learn about other
people's communities. In your discussion, you discussed the definition of a community. The
description was great. I liked how you described your experience living in Japan. I believe that
studying other communities allows you to learn how to positively affect your community based
on what has worked for others. Psalm 133:1 (NKJV) is a scriptural passage on community:
"Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" Overall, I
appreciated reading your contribution to our debate this week.

Hey Ashton,
I especially appreciate your input in this week's chat since I was able to hear your thoughts on
your area after walking or driving through it. This conversation subject aroused my curiosity
because we are all attending classes online and live in different states or even parts of the world,
so we have our communities. You provided an informative and thorough analysis of your
neighborhood in Christiansburg, Virginia. You have stressed the range of cultures and origins
that contribute to its distinct character. I appreciate how you highlighted the issues of healthcare
access, particularly physician scarcity. I also believe it's excellent that your neighborhood has so
many local medical manufacturing outlets and healthcare practitioners, even if they might be
tough to find while school is in session. A scripture verse that pertains to communities is, "A new
commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you." Everyone will know
you are My disciples if you love one another." (NKJV). Overall, I enjoyed reading your
contribution to our conversation this week.
