Exploring the Teachings of Jesus: His Divine Claims, Profound Questions, and Personal Responses
To understand the Christian perspective on Jesus a person must be open to hear thy message in
which their foundation to their faith is to allow yourself to have The Trinity (the Father/Son/Holy Spirit)
in your heart. In examining the core teachings of Jesus, the profound claims he made about his divine
nature, and the transformative impact of his questions on individuals, it becomes evident that Jesus not
only conveyed timeless moral and spiritual guidance but also challenged humanity to grapple with their
beliefs and engage in a personal journey of faith and self-discovery.
Teaching of Jesus
Jesus’ teachings
lie a profound message within these three sectors of love, compassion and
spiritual transformation and a good example of this is in Mathew 6:19-24. According to Keener (2014),
“One
should not value possessions enough to seek them (6:19-24)
—
or enough to worry about
them
—
because God will provide one’s basic needs
“
(page 86). From that statement it highlights the
teachings on emphasizing the idea that material possessions should not be our primary goal and instead
we should trust God in providing the basic needs/essentials. These teachings encourage followers to
lead a more balanced and happy life by reducing excessive worry about wealth and instead allowing
them to have a deeper connection with their faith. Then from an atheist perspective they may see the
passage as wisdom because everyone knows that m
oney doesn’t help with happiness
it is good to have
but not a necessity. In Mathew 6:19-24 it gives us three important aspects of his philosophy, first of is
detaching from material possessions in the way he encourages his followers to avoid accumulating
treasures on Earth (money) and this will allow their spiritual being to be free. With that the second is
prioritizing spiritual values in how faith is the only thing they need to be happy with life. The third thing
is serving only one master because it is impossible to loyally serve two things with the same amount of
loyalty and devotion because one can get in the way of having a deeper relationship with The Trinity.
These three important teachings show the internal nature of the heart and what truly matters and life
and that is detachment from materialism, prioritizing of spiritual values and unwavering commitment to
serving God. That Jesus Made About His Nature
Claim That Jesus Made About His Nature
We go into the heart of Christian worldview by examining the deep statements that Jesus made about
himself. Here, issues of divinity, humanity, and the centr
ality of Christ’s identity are raised. A very
good
example of this is in Mathew 9:9-13 in which Keener (2014) depicts the Lord's message
stating, “
Here
they assume that Jesus, being a wise teacher, ought to share their religious convictions, which they
believed were scriptural but for Jesus as a teacher to pursue those known as sinners violated
conventional expectations of holiness
” (page 98).
This verse describes how Jesus invited tax
collectors Mathew to follow him and then ate dinner with sinners and tax collectors. Jesus shows his
compassion and inclusivity by hanging out with tax collectors and sinners. He demonstrates his
belief in reaching out to everyone, regardless of their social or moral standing, by being willing to
interact with those who are viewed as sinners or outcasts by society. This is consistent with his
character as an accepting and kind person. The claim is significant because it reveals something
important about the goal of Jesus’ ministry. It emphasizes that Jesus came for sinners, not
for the
righteous. His purpose was to provide salvation, pardon, and redemption to people who realized
they needed spiritual healing. This highlights a crucial aspect
of Jesus’ ministry
: providing individuals
in need with redemption and spiritual change. Also, Jesus challenged the traditional religious
traditions of his day. Jesus removed the boundaries that separated the religious authorities from
people they saw as sinners, highlightening the significance of showing compassion to those who
were disregarded or seen to be underserving. In conclusion, Mathew 9:9-13 shows that Jesus shows
that Jesus considered himself to be a kind and accepting person whose mission was to reach and
save those whom society had rejected.
Personal Answer to Question from Jesus
Honestly, I always have believed in God but the way I see it there is no real correct way to
worship him. By what I mean by this every religion has their own core values and by that I see they are

core values close to my heart and that is the Trinity.
With this class it also proved to me “it’s ok to sin”
but do not try to sin but instead live with your heart because God wants you to follow him because he
loves his creations and to also be open minded and to follow his teachings and with this you will truly be
free.
Conclusion
To sum up, the core of Christian philosophy and faith are the teachings of Jesus and his
profound statements about his nature. Beyond the confines of time and culture, his emphasis on love,
compassion, and spiritual transformation continues to inspire and guide countless people. Jesus calls on
people to reconsider their spiritual priorities as he makes claims about his divine identity and his mission
as a redeemer that go against accepted religious convictions
. Jesus’s teachings and claims, whethe
r
viewed through religious lens or recognized for their moral and ethical wisdom, convey a timeless
message of hope, redemption, and the enduring power of faith. As such, they continue to be a constant
source of spiritual support, helping countless people on their path to a greater understanding of who
they are and how they relate to others.
