Note - boxes will expand as you type Describe your experience:  Provide a thoughtful reflection of your experience. What gospel principle from this week’s lesson did you teach? Include specific quotes or references to scripture or prophetic teachings that you used.  How did it go? How did you feel while teaching and afterward? What reaction or feedback did you receive?  What teaching methods did you use (thought-provoking question, discussion, game, object lesson, video, other method)? This week I was able to share with my grandfather a little bit about the Abrahamic covenant and about patriarchal blessing. He is not a member of the church, but he understands some bible stories well and he enjoys talking about how church members can get a declaration of lineage on patriarchal blessings. I was to explain to him that these blessings also include inspired counsel that is useful for our lives and can guide us through difficult times. The method I used was discussion and I feel that everything went quite well, the discussion did not last long I feel it was meaningful for both of us Describe the insights you gained:  What did you learn from this experience about being a teacher of the gospel?  What deeper insights or understanding of the principle(s) being taught did you gain from teaching the principle(s) to another person? One thing I learned from this experience is that sometimes, we forgot how much the light of Christ can guide people to understand deep concept of the gospel. As I mentioned before, my grandfather is not a member of the church and able to understand quite well the concepts we discussed. Sometimes I feel that we hesitate to share some principles of the gospel just for fear that people will not understand what we mean when it is very likely that the light of Christ coupled with our desire to share the gospel will make deep concepts and ideas easily understood by others. And one thing I learned is that it is very gospel without disregarding or despising the ideas that people have learned in the past
