W05 Study: Life and Testimony of President Oaks
Simone Bagni
President Oak’s life story is exactly showing how he was prepared all his life to be a worthy man
called from God in these latter days to be a special witness of Our Savior and Redeemer Jesus
Christ. His determination and full obedience to accomplish all he was asked to do is showing
how much he was a dedicated and determined man. I like the story that once he was called as
an apostle, he decided to question himself asking what kind of man he would need to become
and change in order to be an apostle of the Lord. He fully committed himself obeying all he was
asked to do without doubting. The other example I like is that he was never feeling himself
better than another person leaving everyone free to express their ideas. Great example of
humility. (Words: 140)
Listening President Oak’s testimony makes me feel so much the spirit because you can feel from
him that he knows by himself these things to be true and he honest and caring desire to share
this knowledge with others. I love hearing from him because he is trying to use simple words so
that everyone could easily understand an important principle and doctrine like the importance
of partaking of the sacrament as renewal of our baptismal covenant. Such a great testimony of
the sacrifice of our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ, important to teach to the people, not
members of the church, that the Gospel is all centered around the infinite and eternal atoning
sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ and that it is only through Him that we would be able to gain
our salvation and exaltation in His kingdom. (Words : 141)
