"Nurse practitioners' added value is often mentioned in publications, but there needs to be a consensus on what value is being added, what value is being added to, and in comparison with what can be considered an added value. A concept analysis was conducted to clarify the attributes, antecedents, and meaning and better understand the Nurse practitioners' added value" Savard et al. (2023) Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) play a crucial role in medicine. They include a variety of positions, such as nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, and nurse midwives, each of which contributes to the advancement of healthcare. As primary care practitioners, APRNs frequently take the lead in providing the general population with preventative healthcare services. Beyond only giving direct care, their duties include disease diagnosis, advising on health issues, managing chronic ailments, and keeping up with recent professional developments. In addition to the primary nursing education and licensure necessary for all Registered Nurses (RNs), APRNs endure considerable coursework and have at least a master’s degree. This education gives them the information and abilities needed to deliver high-quality, all-encompassing healthcare. According to the American Nurses Association (2017), APRNs Practice Specialty Roles are as follows: Nurse Practitioners- provide primary, acute, and specialty health care across the lifespan through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Certified Nurse-Midwives provide primary, gynecological, and reproductive health care. Clinical Nurse Specialists provide diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients; provide expertise and support to nurses caring for patients; help drive practice changes throughout the organization; and ensure the use of best practices and evidence-based care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists provide complete anesthesia and pain management services. Savard, I., Al-Hakim, G., & Kilpatrick, K. (2023).
