INADEQUATE STAFFING 2 Reflection 1 In this module, nursing students are hoping to acquire a deeper comprehension of the crucial role that practice, research and theory play in nursing practice. Nursing theories and models act as a base for research that produces evidence that improves and informs nursing practice. Understanding the interactive and dynamic relationship between nursing practice and nursing theories, students expect various learning outcomes. First, students are hoping to develop an extensive comprehension of various nursing models, frameworks, conceptual, and theories. The module will help us examine the historical evaluation of the theories or models and their significance to contemporary nursing profession. Comprehending the underlying assumptions and principles of nursing models will enable nursing students to value how models guide nursing research and offer a framework for interpreting and organizing findings. Moreover, nursing students are hoping to understand ways in which nursing models and theories can guide and inform their practice. They will be seeking to understand how these models present a ground for comprehending patient experiences, making sound clinical decisions, and organizing care. In addition, nursing students are hoping to improve their research competencies and skills. As nursing students, we are hoping to learn and understand different study designs, collection methods and research methodologies significant to nursing research. Acquiring such skills will help us to expand the framework of nursing knowledge, verify existing theories and develop new nursing models. Nursing students are eager to learn the process of developing research questions, scheming studies, gathering and evaluating data and making meaningful conclusions. Furthermore, we are hoping the module will help us understand the significance of evidence-based nursing practice. We will comprehend how research evidence and findings are applied into nursing practice to enhance patient outcome. Assessing various

Acquiring such skills and knowledge, we will be able to contribute to the evaluation of nursing knowledge, and enhance care quality we deliver to patients.
