APRNs are knowledgeable, proficient, and equipped to provide various medical services, including specialty and general care. I want to draw your attention to a few key aspects that demonstrate how crucial it is to discuss and amend laws about the practice authority of advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs):

2 First, increasing healthcare accessibility is one of our state's top priorities. Texas is experiencing a scarcity of medical professionals, particularly in underprivileged and rural regions. The knowledge and experience of APRNs can close this disparity and enhance every Texan's access to healthcare. Research by Kleinsteuber (2018) found that using social media and movies has effectively brought attention to the issue of APRNs' demand for full practice authorization in Texas. We can guarantee that patients get thorough treatment promptly and improve their health by giving them complete practice autonomy. Furthermore, APRNs are educated to provide safe and efficient treatment, and patient safety is a fundamental tenet of our healthcare system. If given complete authority, we could practice to the extent possible based on our education and training, guaranteeing that patients get the best possible treatment according to the most recent evidence-based recommendations. Requirements for continuous education also converge with the question of APRNs' practicing authorization. Research by Peck et al. (2021) covers the mandatory continuing education requirements for Texas healthcare professional state licensing. Requiring advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) to fulfill stringent continuing education requirements and extend their practice authority will improve patient safety and care quality. Finally, it is essential to consider the financial advantages of allowing APRNs to fully practice their training and education. In doing so, we may lower patient healthcare expenses while boosting the number of healthcare providers and the state's economy. You can alter laws that impact how healthcare professionals practice in our state. For our fellow Texans' health and well-being, your leadership and assistance in promoting laws supporting APRNs' full practice authority and prescriptive power would be highly appreciated.
