No, she had no right to make decisions in my opinion, especially since she is a minor. She is unsure of what is best for her treatment. Even if there is only a 1% chance of cure, there is still a chance. Miracles do happen. However, there is a better chance of recovery in her case.

Yes, even though they knew she had a better chance of recovery, they let Mikayla make the decision about her treatment.

Yes, If they have intervened, the child may be receiving the best care possible for her condition.

Because standard treatments are more thoroughly tested and used in hospitals

In my case, I used massage therapy as an alternative treatment for back pain. Yes, it is effective, and I would recommend it to someone, but not for every condition. Alternative
therapies have yet to be scientifically proven to be effective.
