The study resources for this module were extremely helpful in understanding the ideals
and concepts of team-based healthcare and the many members of a healthcare team and their

duties. The healthcare team is very important, as it helps improve the quality of health care
provided to the patient and improve the level of agreement and understanding between the health
care team and the patient. Among the importance of the healthcare team, providing an
opportunity to evaluate the patient’s condition, the patient’s condition is evaluated by a group of
medical specialists, which helps to evaluate the patient’s overall health condition, standardization
of the treatment plan, improving the quality of health care provided, each specialist in the health
care team has a different vision and knowledge, which allows better solutions to be found and
high quality health care provided. The exchange of information at a medical meeting is of great
importance for several reasons: 1. Improving patient care: Exchanging information or asking
questions to other healthcare team members helps improve patient care by providing
comprehensive and accurate information about their health condition and appropriate treatment
recommendations by doing so you will also be saving time and effort exchanging information
enhances coordination among medical team members and reduces redundancy and variation in
information gathering, saving the time and effort needed to provide health care. In general,
exchanging information toother healthcare team members enhance coordination, improves
patient care, and contributes to improved treatment outcomes. “The authors are individuals
knowledgeable about team-based care who participated in an interprofessional work group that
was drawn from the IOM’s Best Practices Innovation Collaborative. To achieve the goal of
identifying basic principles and values for interprofessional team- based care.” (Mitchell et al,
2012b, p.4).
