Thanks for sharing. First & foremost, I think it’s pretty awesome you live in Hawaii. As a teen, moving to Honolulu Hawaii was my dream, honestly still is. It’s in my opinion that the regulation you listed is quite an important one. Could you imagine you or a loved one being in a life threating situation and the ambulance pass by 1-2 hospitals within your insurance network just to get you to one that is preferred just to pass away before getting there when your chances of survival would have been way higher if they’d only stopped at the nearest or first hospital in the area? When I was in a car accident with my husband and 8 year old daughter at the time, the EMS asked me which hospital preferred going to. Which I thought was the stupidest question in the world considering I'd just moved to KY from Florida and didn't know what the nearest hospital was. When I said the nearest his follow up was "XYZ is the nearest hospital, however ABC is the best in town" Thankfully neither of us had life threating injuries. But to think, if we were unconscious facing life threatening injuries the Ambulance would have chosen the best hospital (10-15 minutes away) vs the nearest which was about 3 minutes from the scene. If I were currently living in your area, I would definitely apply for the Director of Healthcare Networks. This job descriptions seems to align with the degree we’re obtaining, as well as the skills and knowledge we’ve gathered over the years. As you went through the requirements for this position and its benefits, would you apply for this position?

Thanks for posting. When thinking of what type of role or career I’ve always thought to myself being a Nursing Home Administrator have its benefits. It's also necessary to finish a 1040-hour Administrator-in-
Training (AIT) program under the guidance of a board-certified preceptor. The AIT must serve as an AIT for at least 20 hours per week, but no more than 10 hours per day, and finish the program at a comprehensive care facility. The course needs to be finished with at least 1040 AIT hours in a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months (Pla, 2023).

Thanks for sharing. A combination of public and private, for-profit and nonprofit insurers and healthcare providers make up the American health system. The federal government finances a number of programs for veterans and low-income individuals, such as Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program, as well as the national Medicare program for persons 65 years of age and over and certain individuals with disabilities. Local coverage and the safety net are managed and funded in part by the states. However, the federal government's role in establishing regulations and carrying out policies was diminished by Congress and the Trump administration starting in 2017. For instance, they scaled down on initiatives to promote enrollment, such as waiving the tax penalty associated with not having insurance (

Thanks for posting. Over the past 50 years, the federal government has been heavily involved in the health care system. This began with the establishment of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965, which guaranteed insurance coverage for a significant portion of the U.S. population. Later, from the 1980s to the early 2000s, numerous pieces of legislation were passed to protect people with employer-sponsored health insurance and to expand federal healthcare programs. In encouraging people to seek preventive care, the government has been a major contributor. It has also encouraged a greater understanding of the role that illness prevention plays in improving the effectiveness and economy of healthcare. Primary preventive services were not initially authorized by Medicare. In particular, Medicare specifically excluded "screening tests" as a benefit, and this broad exclusion still stands today. The first Medicare beneficiary benefit for specified preventive screening was not allowed by the US Congress until 1980. Since then, as advised by several organizations in charge of developing standards for preventive care, Congress has granted some preventive treatments special benefit status (Straube, 2013).
