Dear Mr. Ben,
Since I was a kid, it has been my passion to become a great sonographer someday. Since I
was a five-year-old child, I have been passionate about the quality of medication in my society. I
actively partook in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Association Club throughout my
secondary school education. As a member of the association, I participated in the core roles to
inform the community about the importance of using ultras sound in diagnosing diseases and
secondly help students improve professionally and awaken them on the study field linked to
medical sonography. For me to achieve my dreams, I am required to pursue a four-year program
that is Masters in Ultrasound Technology at Denver university in the January 2021 intake. I
foresee my future being very bright and passionately transforming the medical diagnostic field.
It will be an implausible opportunity if I am granted the chance to pursue my dream
career at Denver University. For the past academic record I have in the former University of
Manchester and Barnes Jewish hospital where I volunteered for one year after my graduation, it
is evident that if the scholarship opportunity is awarded to me, I would realize my dreams. I have
3
obtained sonography skills in my first-degree program, but it is not adequate for me to advance
the diagnostic medicine field to another level.
The environment I grew in has developed my passion for sonography. In 2000, I was ten
years old, and I was in great pain watching my beloved father's life escape. He was admitted to
the local hospital, and he complained about his heart. There was no sufficient technology for
remote diagnosis at that time, and he died even after the doctors tried tirelessly to save his life. In
my community, we experienced about thirteen deaths a year, which was attributed to improper
diagnosis. My father was the breadwinner in our family, and his demise left us in great agony
and financial suffering. This incident made me wish to become a specialist someday whereby I
will help patients by discovering abnormalities inside their body parts
Relocation to Denver for the period in which the program is expected to commence is
quite challenging to me, while it is so precious chance for me that I could not wish to lose. This
poses a tremendous financial strain to me in catering for my expenses and my family. However,
despite the financial challenge, I cannot allow it to be an obstacle to benefit from the program. I
am also forced to migrate with my family to Denver, which comes with increased flight and
general expenses. During the program, my wife will support me through searching for food and
other basic needs.
Your organization's mission and vision match my passion and belief. Given the
scholarship by your institution will serve as a bridge to my dreams of improving the quality of
healthcare through ultrasound technology. Throughout the program, I will work tirelessly to
represent Denver University better. Finally, I take this opportunity to thank you for taking your
time and reviewing my scholarship application.
