Pushing Things Around Introduction The lab assigned today is based on Newton’s Second law of motion. Newton's second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables - the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object. This lab is performed using a simulation from the PhET website. Required Equipment Computer PhET simulator “Force and Motion: Basics” Research and Analysis This lab requires us to use the PhET simulation using the computer. There are three parts of the lab. Part A: Tug of War, Part B: Motion, and Part C: Acceleration Lab. Based on the results of these labs we can determine the relationship between force, mass and acceleration.

Pushing Things Around
Pushing Things Around Conclusion After performing all the simulations, the results clearly show that the relationship among force mass and acceleration is that force is a product of acceleration. Another conclusion is that mass and acceleration are directly proportional Errors There were no errors during the experiments. This is because the results are exact based on the numbers and factors that were plugged in the PhET simulation. The instructions are also predetermined so everybody will arrive at the same results.
