Question 1 [2 points]: The air pressure in a duct is measured by a mercury manometer. For a given mercury-level difference of 15 mm between the two columns, the absolute pressure in the duct is to be determined.
Question 2 [3 points] : The top part of a water tank is divided into two compartments, and a fluid with an unknown density is poured into one side. The levels of the water and the liquid are measured. Given h f = 80 cm, and h w = 45 cm, the density of the fluid is to be determined.

Question 5 [5 points] : Superheated steam in a piston-cylinder device is cooled from an initial temperature of 300 °C at constant pressure (1 MPA) until half of the mass condenses. The final temperature and the volume change are to be determined, and the process should be shown on a T-v diagram.
