Running head: MARKETING PLAN PART FOUR 1 Marketing Plan Part Four Clara West Trevecca Nazarene University Author Note Marketing for Managers, Professor Dawn Olson
MARKETING PLAN PART FOUR 2 Promotion Strategy-Advertising In order to build awareness and promote Walmart’s new daycare, there will be multiple social media posts leading up to the grand opening. There will also be commercials ran on TV and over the radio. In the cities where this service will begin, there will be billboards and signage placed in high traffic areas for potential customers to see. The best social media platforms to use for this service will be Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Facebook will reach a wide audience with 34,160,407 who like the page and 32,881,081 who follow this page. Twitter and Instagram will be used to give small pieces of information over time in order to grab customers attention and make them want to check out the service once it opens. Walmart could promote this service on YouTube by creating short video advertisements to play before someone starts their desired video. Advertising Social Media-50% Television-25% Outdoors-8.3% Radio-16.7% This product does not have much seasonality as child care is a steady occupation. However, during holidays or school breaks there may be a greater demand for the child care
MARKETING PLAN PART FOUR 3 service. More school aged children who are unable to stay alone will be brought along to the store with their parent or guardian. This will create a need for more workers during those times. Implementation & Evaluation From getting the correct legal documents to physically building the daycare, this process will take up to six months. Funding and employees will have to be looked into before opening. There will also have to be things such as toys and technology to keep the children occupied. There is a lot that goes into creating a fun, safe learning environment for children. Month 1 Begin researching the what is needed to build and maintain a day care. Month 2 Being planning and promoting the day care. Month 3 Begin building the day care and heavily promoting especially on Facebook. Month 4 Focus on YouTube with advertisements aimed towards children who will want to play and experience the day care themselves. Month 5 Post daily on social media and run many advertisements for the grand opening. Month 6 Launch-Grand Opening of the day care service. In order to evaluate the successfulness of the plan, I will look into the feedback received. I will see if the feedback is negative or positive and if there are ideas from customers that can be implemented to make the day care better. I will also check to see how much interaction there was on the social media posts. There are millions of people who will see some sort of promotion for the day care, and we want to see that they are interested. I will use a team of people to keep track of the social media sites and make sure they are prepared to answer any questions customers may have before launch day.
