TEAM DELIVERABLE 1: JOB ANNOUNCEMENT 2 Job Announcement Seeking Contemporary Leaders for Dynamic, Successful Organization - Miami and Las Vegas At Life Science Nutraceuticals, Inc. (LSN), the vision is to help consumers achieve their full potential of health and wellbeing using the most natural solutions available. LSN is looking for dynamic leaders to take us to the next level. There are four core values that have guided the company over 100 years from a start as a small apothecary shop in NYC to being a $35B international corporation today. These values include Customer-centricity, Innovation, Knowledge, and Sustainability. LSN believe leaders should also embrace these guiding values. Leaders should seek to boost LSN to be the market-leader in providing safe, effective, and affordable products that exceed consumers’ expectations. At LSN, a leader is seen as someone that inspires employees by setting the strategy for accomplishing the collaborative mission and allows flexibility to do so. Candidates should possess both advanced communication skills and solid decision-making skills. They must also be experienced in building effective customer relationships and creating an organizational climate that shows a clear commitment to customers. Candidates must inspire a trusting work atmosphere and personally develop cohesive relationships among employees. Exceptional candidates will possess a track record of driving creativity and purpose, showcasing innovation.

Understanding ethics and exhibiting integrity are required skills, along with promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace. Candidates must also demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the industry and technical matters, as they relate to LSN, and prioritize professional development. No formal education requirements exist, but a bachelor’s degree is preferred. LSN is seeking transformational leaders. Customer-centricity, the first of LSN's four core values, focuses on creating positive customer experiences. The job announcement requires applicants to have experience building positive relationships with customers and developing a climate where customers are the focus. The leadership traits require team members to be dedicated to the company and place a premium on speed, flexibility, and the ability to lead in uncertain situations (Stockton et al., 2014, “Developing 21 st   Century Leadership Skills,” para. 2). The decision-maker should always have the customer in mind when making decisions and be confident in the decisions made (Indeed, 2023, “Top 10 Leadership Traits,” para. 6). By setting a vision and strategy for the team, LSN leaders exemplify the need for innovation. The job announcement seeks candidates with the ability to bring their team together as a cohesive unit to develop new ideas, express creativity, and inspire collaboration. By encouraging autonomy, employees are empowered and inspired to develop new ideas and approaches to their work (UMGC, n.d., “Differences Between Management and Leadership,” para. 2). Leaders who drive creativity and purpose will ensure short and long-term goals are met (Stockton et al., 2014, “Developing 21 st   Century Leadership Skills,” para. 3). The job posting seeks a candidate who demonstrates the ability to understand ethics and exhibit integrity. With operations currently looking to expand to Saudi Arabia in the next year, LSN leaders are expected to be competent in global leadership. In addition, effective leaders must demonstrate flexibility, open-mindedness, cultural interest, and sensitivity (SHRM, 2008, “Essential Leadership Competencies,” Fig. 2). Through diversity and inclusion, LSN will be provided a competitive advantage (Stockton et al., 2014, “Developing 21 st   Century Leadership Skills,” para. 3). Also, environmental sustainability continues to be a global focus. Therefore, a leader at LSN should be committed to environmental consciousness and leading the company towards ongoing sustainability. The reasoning for the choice of language used in the job announcement In developing the job posting, consideration was made in the evolution of leadership: shifting from autocratic previously to now fostering employee development and maximizing workforce performance through transformational leadership (UMGC, n.d., “Transformational Leadership,” para. 1). The significance of creating strong relationships with stakeholders, consumers, and employees in a contemporary corporate setting is highlighted. An effective leader possesses traits such as accountability, adaptability, and creativity, along with people management skills, empathy, and interpersonal relationship skills (Indeed, 2023, “Top 10 Leadership Traits,” para. 1-10). Today, leaders inspire, motivate, encourage, and enable followers (Gandolfi & Stone,

Transformational leaders prioritize both the collective success of the team and the achievement of its objectives along with the advancement of each team member. Transformational leadership fosters six activities for enacting a vision: structuring, selecting and training, motivating, managing information, team building, and promoting change and innovation (Kirkpatrick & Locke, 1991, pp. 56-58). The keywords within the job announcement place a high value on how transformational leadership motivates and inspires by helping employees see the importance and higher good of the task (UMGC, n.d., “The Most Important Leadership Theories,” p. 418).
