Report
Milestone three: Buy, Build, Ally
Airbus entering zero emission market The goal: Our goal is to enable 100% SAF capability by 2030 for commercial and military aircraft and for helicopters (airbus, 2023a) The Ultimate end goal: Airbus’ ambition is to bring to market the world’s first hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft by 2035 (airbus, 2023b). For air bus to do this they must have the research and development team as well as the resources available to obtain the goal
What is the Strategy? I believe the decision to ally with other companies is the best option to get to the goal of zero emissions as desired. Alliance: is an agreement between two companies to cooperate on a project together and share resources They would need specific development centers and continued research to improve processes It will help with the building and obtaining of products needed to put zero emission planes into the fiels

Why an alliance? Reduces the risk for the company Helps provide complementary services to get the product out quicker with more resources Our five year goals are to increase sales in the commercial aircraft area and increase airplane deliveries to build revenue This project requires a lot of parts to make it happen and it will be easier to obtain with an alliance. People are pushing for more green and lower emission vehicles and airplanes for the environment
Infrastructure needed The first step needed to make this product possible is to work on getting the infrastructure set at airports to be able to use the hydrogen. Other sustainable fuels do not require the extra steps that hydrogen powered planes would need. This is where an alliance helps get all of the parts in motion and completed together
Timeline of implementation Year 1: obtain company alliances to continue working on the research and development of the hydrogen powered aircraft, preform analysis of the industry and SWOT analysis Year 2: start to deploy the idea out to airports globally and continue research and development on best practices for hydrogen powered planes, establish the standard for production Year 3: begin testing hydrogen powered airplanes, begin plans and building for infrastructures needed
