Change Management Plan AGC Payton D. Stanford HRMT620-2304B- Unit 5 Dr. Bias 11/05/2023
Introduction This research paper will aim to dissect and delve further into the case of Atlantis Global Corporation (AGC). AGC is an established entity with critical challenges to compete in today’s global economy. AGC, primarily engages business developing, manufacturing, and marketing of electronic circuit boards. AGC is currently facing financial performance issues, human capital management concerns, and navigating a rapidly changing global landscape. This paper explores the steps and processes for transforming AGC's leadership styles and organizational culture, analyzing potential internal and external threats, investigating methods for detecting these threats, and a proposed strategy to safeguard the organization's future. The research underscores the significance of agile leadership, proactive risk management, and a culture of innovation for AGC's long-term success. New Leadership Styles and Organizational Culture AGC is looking to introduce a range of transformative changes in its leadership styles and organizational culture to address its challenges. In a review of the work titled 4 actions transformational leaders take, David Lancefield and Chirstian Rangen describe transformational leadership change as; “Leading transformational change involves helping the organization transcend its current positioning, performance, and capabilities. This requires visionary thinking, the ability to tackle complex problems (like overcoming organizational inertia), and the courage to make difficult choices (like when to shut down or sell off assets that were once considered
“core”, (Lancefield and Rangen 2021). For the case of AGC’s Scenario firstly, the organization is looking to instill transformational leadership within the management and employee relations, placing a significant emphasis on inspiring and motivating employees to unlock their full potential. This approach encourages leaders to be visionary, supportive, and engaging, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Secondly, AGC will need to aim to stay committed to inclusivity and diversity. The company recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and should seek actively promoting a work environment that values and leverages different backgrounds and perspectives. Thirdly, AGC can shift towards empowerment and accountability. For AGC this will lead the organization to have a decentralized approach to the decision-making process, empowering managers at all levels to take ownership of their respective areas. In an article from Employee Relations, Pete Newsome describes “Empowerment in the workplace means enabling employees to take ownership of their work and contribute to meaningful decision-making. In a culture of empowerment, company leaders delegate responsibilities, share information freely and seek out input from members of their team.” (Newsome 2022). This approach encourages responsibility and the values for ownership among the leadership team. Lastly, developing training efforts to educate management to develop agile and adaptive leadership across the entire leadership teams. Leaders are encouraged to actively seek feedback, learn from mistakes, and continually refine their strategies in response to market dynamics. Potential Internal and External Threats The dynamic global business environment poses several potential internal and external threats that AGC must proactively address. Economic uncertainty can significantly impact

AGC's financial stability. Factors such as economic downturns, Supply Chain Disruptions, and trade disputes can lead to financial challenges. Also, rapid technological advancements can disrupt AGC's market and operations. The organization must be prepared to adapt to emerging technologies or develop its own innovations to maintain its competitive edge. For areas of technology, placing a strategy among keeping pace with technology will allow AGC to maintain as technology plays a role throughout the entire supply chain cycle of AGC’s product creation. Dorothy Leonard-Barton describes leading technological organizations to; “Those who manage technological change must often serve as both technical developers and implementers. As a rule, one organization develops the technology and then hands it off to users, who are less technically skilled but quite knowledgeable about their own areas of application” (Leonard-Barton 2012). AGC will need to seek and find talent that can innovate and create ways for AGC to not fall behind as technology further advances. Like, technology, major changes in political and regulatory conditions in host countries and subsidiaries can disrupt AGC's operations. New regulations, trade barriers, or geopolitical conflicts could pose challenges. AGC operates in a highly competitive industry. Rival companies, including those within the similar industrial parks, pose a constant threat. With AGC working to implement innovative processes to seeking technological updates allow them to move faster than competitors and remain consistent as a top global performer. Detecting Internal and External Threats To effectively detect internal and external threats, AGC should implement several strategies. The organization should establish a robust continuous monitoring team that tracks economic, technological, political, and market developments. AGC can hire talent to formulate a
Strategic Planning and Global Trends Analysis Team. This team's primary purpose is to monitor, analyze, and proactively respond to changing global trends and their potential impacts on the company. Hiring and training the right talent will ensure the plan to be backed with market research, technological assessments, and future scenario planning. Secondly, data analytics tools should be employed to identify trends and patterns within the organization. The proper implementation and recording of useful data are beneficial, according to Iqbal Sarker, “Usually, data science is the field of applying advanced analytics methods and scientific concepts to derive useful business information from data. The emphasis of advanced analytics is more on anticipating the use of data to detect patterns to determine what is likely to occur in the future” (Sarker 2021). Data collection and analyzing can help detect issues related to items such as employee turnover, financial performance, and operational efficiency. Improving the companies understanding of its place within the market externally and internally and using this data to develop a plan efforted towards seeking the most efficient means for production. AGC should also encourage open communication channels for employees to share their concerns and feedback. Employee surveys, suggestion boxes, and regular one-on-one discussions can provide valuable insights into potential internal issues. Methods to Protect the Organization AGC can adopt a variety of methods to protect itself from potential internal and external threats. Firstly, a comprehensive risk management strategy should be developed. From work written by Tucker Bailey, he describes the supply chain risk as; “Global supply chains are irreversible, as are the supply-chain risks that globalization has brought with it. It is critical for organizations to build robust programs for managing both known and unknown supply-chain risks. By employing these approaches, organizations increase their chances of minimizing supply-chain disruptions
and crises, while capturing the full value of their supply-chain strategies” (Bailey 2019). This strategy should assess the potential impact of various threats and implement mitigation plans. Actions may include diversifying markets and ensuring regulatory compliance. Talent development and retention strategies are also essential for AGC moving forward. These strategies could include skill development programs for employees, competitive compensation packages to keep employee turnover low, and fostering a positive working culture that fits multiple ethnic backgrounds. AGC also must foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This approach enables the organization to respond effectively to technological disruptions and to stay competitive. Lastly, after the strategies are set forth, a continuous analysis of the competitive landscape is vital for the continuation of the organization’s path toward goals. AGC should conduct ongoing competitive analysis to make strategic adjustments and reduce dependence on a single revenue source. Conclusion In conclusion, Atlantis Global Corporation (AGC) finds itself at a pivotal spot where action must be set in motion by strategic planning. The adoption of new Transformational leadership style as well as an evolved organizational culture aimed at fostering innovation and adaptability can benefit AGC while trying to maintain a constantly changing global market. AGC faces an array of internal and external threats but can develop a proactive approach by seeking qualified talent and formulating research analytical teams. The organization's transformation and strategic resilience are led by its commitment to agile leadership, proactive risk management, and a culture of innovation. This paper serves as a guiding compass, positioning the company to
