1. Self-assessment about leadership gives me an opportunity to think through my own tendencies toward having a proactivity personality and therefore being proactive. Machiavellianism is defined as an individual’s general strategy for dealing with other people and the degree to which they feel they can manipulate others in interpersonal situations and this self-assessment helps me determine how big my thinking is. What insights I have learnt from the learning materials are leadership is evolving, and successful leaders often exhibit a blend of traditional and contemporary leadership skills. Influence is more effective when grounded in authenticity, empathy, and a genuine concern for the well-being of others. Power, when used responsibly, can be a tool for positive change and organizational success. 2. Leadership, influence, and power, as well as 21st century leadership, provide me with fresh information that will help me improve personally and professionally by improving my grasp of successful leadership techniques and power dynamics. This information will allow me to better help and advise others, develop my communication skills, and contribute to a happier and more productive workplace. Furthermore, it can assist me in adapting to the changing nature of leadership in the twenty-first century, as well as staying current on trends and best practices in leadership and influence. 3. The new information will help me enhance my performance by giving me significant insights into successful leadership, influence, and power dynamics. This information will help me make better decisions, develop my communication and interpersonal skills, and have a better understanding of how to encourage and inspire people. It can also help me create a more strategic and ethical leadership style, resulting in enhanced personal and professional success. 4. The new information can help me create value for the company by enabling me to contribute to a more effective and positive work environment. With a better understanding of leadership, influence, and power dynamics, I can help foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ethical decision-making within the organization. This can lead to improved team performance, enhanced employee engagement, and ultimately, greater overall value for the company. Additionally, by staying informed about 21st century leadership trends, I can help the company adapt to changing business landscapes and remain competitive in the marketplace. 5. Here is my SMART goal Specific: I will enhance my leadership skills by focusing on improving my emotional intelligence, adaptability, and ability to inspire and empower others.
Measurable: I will measure my progress by seeking feedback from colleagues and tracking specific instances where I applied the new insights in my leadership role (Take note these changes on my workbook) Achievable: I will attend leadership training workshops, read relevant literature, and seek mentorship to develop the necessary skills and knowledge, especially these course cover key aspects of 21 st century leadership. Relevant: This goal is relevant to my professional growth as it aligns with the evolving nature of 21st century leadership and can contribute to a more positive work environment. Time-bound: I will aim to achieve this goal within the next 12 months, setting specific milestones for improvement in each area of focus.
