Milestone #3 – Recommendations Program Success Any organization or business, especially in government agencies all the way to non-profit organizations have been under a microscope to display their proposals and methods and if they have been efficient for the organization or business. Transparency is a great place to start and is a vital part of the business or organization to show their ability to the current and future stakeholders of the company. Which further leads to the stakeholders and members of the community to see how this organization conducts operation for the business. This method can be proven effective, especially when trying to maintain relationships and build the trust with current and future stakeholders. As a successful business or organization, you must continue to move forward, look at the improvements that are needed, and what current or past experiences were utilized. After looking at these, you must look at what failed and what concerns are had, and what can be done to correct these issues with an effective solution. Larger companies and businesses that annually audit and conduct analysis of the business utilize a reporting system. Introduction of a reporting system could be the turning point for a business to ensure concerns and issues are being addressed and documented, so the leaders of the business know what is effective and what is not. The key components that need to be reviewed would be the accessibility, financial development, and the financial and physical responsibilities of the organization. By analyzing and assessing these components, you as the business or organization will be able to see if the overall efficiency of the plan is working. If the efficiency of the plan is not where you would like it to be then it shows the leadership a new plan needs to be developed or implemented to increase production and growth again.
Participation The implementation of any new plan or proposal can be difficult or challenging for any organization or business. To introduce any new plan, employee, or proposal effectively and efficiently, the business or company should utilize adaptation. The utilization of adaptation allows the stakeholders and the employees to remain flexible because during the introduction of any new plan will have conflicts and issues that need to be addressed on the fly. But should be mentioned, adaptation does not have to be strictly for the stakeholders and employees, leaders and leadership should be held accountable as well and remain adaptive to the change. A business or organization that continues to be adaptive will reach new heights of growth, creativity, flexibility, and diversity within the company. Which overall will lead to a wide range of knowledge and accountability from all participants involved. Program Reengineering As the organization or business continues to grow, the focus on improvement continues to grow as well. One way to streamline this focus is to set priorities towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the business or organization. After focusing on these, the business and organization will begin to turn towards the reengineering of the plan. When starting this process, it allows the organization to eliminate costly issues that will only cause conflicts of interest and slow the process down. Which in return leads to a lower cost, which reduces wasted resources and allocates funding to areas that will bring growth and development. The reengineering process will and should include all members of the business and organization, along with the stakeholders, and should be on board to increase the effectiveness and efficiency. This allows the members to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the program.

The idea of reengineering is important and is beneficial to the business and all those involved in the organization. The introduction of this program has success in showing growth in the business whether on a public or private basis. But organizations and businesses need to not forget about how the success was achieved. Businesses need to remind all current employees and stakeholders they were crucial to the change. This allows all members to be on the same page and be able to voice their opinions, while also knowing they were part of the change. Overcoming Constraints No matter how hard you try, all businesses and organizations will encounter constraints. What is important though is that they are overcome and not a variable that will alter or decrease the production and growth of the business or organization. One way a company or organization can successfully complete this is to have an efficient and effective plan in place. For example, the Miami-Dade County, Disney, and General Motor’s organizations will encounter a more complex constraint due to the ever-changing nature associated with government and the community they serve. But as a large organization if you treat the constraints as a challenge, you open the competitive nature instilled in humanity ultimately bringing out the best in people, resulting in a better solution. The key to successfully overcoming these challenges that will be presented to the organization is to a simple and open style of communication between the leaders, stakeholders, employees, and the organization. Active listening could be beneficial to all organizations involved, allowing all to have an opportunity to speak opinions and feel heard in the moment and that the change is because of them.
Organizational Success The main goal of any organization or business is to achieve organizational success. Successful businesses and organizations have achieved this and continue to be through goals, missions, and benchmarks. As mentioned previously, humanity is keen on competitive behavior, and it is instilled in all living things. Creating a goal or benchmark allows the employees and the organization to strive for something and feel a sense of pride in completing that mission or goal set for them. While also the organization can utilize this to analyze the success of their organization to other organizations in the area or country. It allows the leaders of the organization to compare performance standards to those other organizations and make sufficient changes to alter the growth and productivity. This further allows the management of the organization to assess what is currently happening and make changes for the future to limit risk and mitigate the conflict before becoming an issue that arises. As a leader this can lead to lower funding costs and make the organization more effective and efficient for the company, as well as allowing others and the stakeholders seeing this organization is better than the competitors. Customer Service Most mottos for organizations and businesses are “The customer is always right”, this is an effective way to ensure that the organization is truly serving the community and providing a service the citizen(s) need. Without customers, especially happy customers that will continue to return to the business or organization will never be successful. Because of the importance customers play, the priority should be set at the top or very close to the top. Customer service is the bread and butter of the organization and paints the picture for the stakeholders and the customers you are serving. Customer service starts with the employees you hire and the representation these employees provide for your organization. Once this is completed, as an
organization you need to provide adequate and sufficient training to those employees. Completion of this should lead the organization to an effective and efficient retention program for those employees. Happy employees that are treated fairly and are respected will do the same for the organization creating a loyal relationship between employees and employers. A successful retention plan can be simple utilizing strong communication skills that clearly state expectations and responsibilities for not only the employee but the leadership as well. Speaking on this, leadership needs to value the opinion of employees and stakeholders to establish rapport and trust with both. This creates excellent customer service experience, along with a strong family- like bond between the organization and the employees which leads to success and growth. Which will mitigate risk and conflict from arising and leading to long-term needs for new solutions to rectify the problem. Boundary Limitations Most business or organizations are successful because they do not allow other areas of the organizations to come together and work as one cohesive unit. Most departments within an organization will think they know best because they are specializing in one area but there should be limits on how much other areas comment on a different area. Just like other areas of the organization, communication is key to success and bringing multiple departments together for the betterment of the organization. Limitations should be placed, where a member of a different department within the organization can provide suggestions or comment about a different outlook on the discussion at hand but not about the specific mechanisms of the issue. This networking starts a rapport with one another and allows an open mind approach to creatively thinking of new solutions and ideas. When you are consistently looking for a plan or project you are most likely going to overlook something that an outsider might recognize quickly because

have not been looking at the same information day after day. At the end of the day, all the employees and departments have one goal in mind and that is to make the organization or business successful and provide the ability to grow larger and larger as an organization. By working together, you look at the strengths and weaknesses of the departments which are different from area to area. Discovering these can lead to overcoming conflicts in other departments that the business might not be able predict or analyze.
