Simulation Pack Read through the following instructions regarding choosing the two products that you will use for your assessment task. You are to assume your role is to provide advice to management about safe design of the two products through all of its life cycle stages and in order to control risks. Safe design principles brief Project Safe design principles that should be applied to control WHS risks for two different products Guidelines for selection of products Choose two products as relevant to the course you are studying. For example, if you are studying civil construction, the products could be anything from a road to a bridge to a tunnel to a traffic management system and so on. Regarding the products you have chosen you must be able to access:  Information about the materials that will be used  Information about the technology that will be used  Information about the systems that will be used  Information about user/potential users of the product Assumptions Assume that:  You are providing advice to decision makers i.e., management and that management is unaware of safe design principles relating to the product or of the processes to be followed.  Consultation is required at all stages of the product life cycle.  The organisation requires that you first prepare a report and then present it to management in a face to face meeting.  The risk register needs to be provided to all of those involved in the product life cycle.
