Check And Balance Essay
Every system in the world needs to be checked and balanced, if it's a school system or a small
business, it still needs to be checked and well balanced in order for it to work. In the government
there are three branches. The legislative branch, executive branch, and the judicial branch. Each
branch has checks and balances that they need to abide by. The legislative branch creates the laws
with the senate and house and representatives. The executive branch has the president in it and it
enforces laws The judicial branch is the one who reviews the laws to see if they are good and
constitutional. The judicial branch also explains the laws to the country. In the legislative branch
laws are created, so there has to be some restrictions to them.

This is the branch the reviews the laws that are proposed and explain them to the public. Just like the
other two branches the judicial branch also has its checks and balances. In the judicial branch they
are allowed to rule something unconstitutional this gives them a lot of power. The president in the
executive branch however has the ability to appoint judges for the judicial branch, so it isn't a bunch
of people chosen by the judicial branch, but from the president so they have a check. Another check
and balance is that the congress can impeach or remove any of the judges from office. This allows
the congress to make sure that there are no bad judges or judges that shouldn't be in office there.
Those are great checks and balances for the judicial branch to have because if they didn't have them
it would be a problem. There are three branches in the government the legislative branch, executive
branch, and the judicial branch. These branches create laws, enforce laws, and interpret and explain
laws. The government as a whole need to have checks and balances to it, especially in each branch.
If they didn't have checks and balances it wouldn't be a very good form of government. For
example, the president has the power to veto a law, but the congress can get passed that with a 2/3rd
vote on it. If, the government never had checks and balances, then it would not work very

Martin Luther King A Bad Check Analysis
Dr. Martin Luther King's metaphor about being given a "bad check" established common ground by
relating the struggles of African Americans to an everyday item all Americans were familiar with.
For example, not every American could understand the hardships that African Americans faced
during the Civil Rights Movement; however, everyone could comprehend the concept of a check, or
specifically a "bad check." Each American understood the basic principle of receiving a check: It
was a piece of paper that represented a promise of money. Much to the same effect, various
documents throughout American history promised equality and freedom to all Americans. In regards
to these documents, however, African Americans were written a "bad check."

Repetition within a speech, especially Dr. King's, creates power behind words, and ensures the
audience understands and listens to the message being delivered. During his speech, Dr. King was
well groomed and had an extremely professional appearance. This was due to a number of reasons,
such as the formality of the setting, to ensure he was taken seriously, to combat negative stereotypes
about African Americans, but also because he was a preacher. At the beginning of his speech, Dr.
King looked down at his notes and only glanced up at the crowd a few times. When he begins
speaking about "satisfaction" and "[having] a dream", however, the opposite was true. Dr. King
rarely glanced at his notes, and instead, maintained eye contact with the audience. This shift
occurred to enhance his closing statements, but also seemed to promulgate from his years as a
preacher. Although Dr. King maintained an upright and strong posture throughout the entirety of his
speech, he swayed and bounced a few times during his presentation. Dr. King did not gesture until
the conclusion of his speech. He used his hand gestures to signal the end of his presentation and also
emphasize his religious beliefs. Most of his hand gestures were directed towards the sky, as if he
was directing his message to the audience and God. Dr. King maintained stoic and reserved facial
expressions throughout his presentation. Although it was

Check Engine Light Research Paper
While seeing your car's check engine light start glowing might send you into a bit of a panic, you
can take comfort in knowing that it's probably not a problem with your transmission. It could be, but
the odds are that it's something else. Check engine lights turn on for a multitude of reasons, some
more pressing than others. This article will cover a few of the most common causes for a check
engine light to start flashing, as well as how to determine if it does happen to be a transmission
issue. So, if it's not a transmission problem, what else could it be? ⦁
Your Gas Cap is Loose or Gone
Your car has a gas cap to seal off its fuel system and maintain proper levels of pressure in the fuel
tank itself. A gas cap also keeps hydrocarbons from being burned off into the atmosphere when you
aren't actually driving. Luckily, if this is why

If this is the problem, you need to replace it in order to avoid damage to other parts of your car. In
addition, if you don't replace it, your car will not operate efficiently. ⦁
Your Catalytic Converter Is
Damaged A catalytic converter is responsible for changing carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide,
which reduces harm to the environment. If it's damaged, your check engine light will turn on, and
failure to replace it can cause your car to run at a higher temperature, which can later become a
problem for your transmission if left unchecked. ⦁
Your Oxygen Sensor Needs Attention Your check
engine light might be on because of problems with your car's oxygen sensor, which monitors the
levels of unburned oxygen in your car's exhaust system. Not attending to a faulty oxygen sensor can
lead to damaged spark plugs or catalytic converter. This can cause your engine to start burning more
fuel than it actually needs. How Can I Tell If It Is the

Check School Research Paper
WHAT IS A GOOD ZONE, THEN? Check schools. Even if you don't have a children, you should
know that homes zoned for good schools have higher average price and they are also easier to resell.
Drive through the area where you want to buy a house. Do it on weekends when there is no school.
Look for bikes on the driveway or balls on the front lawn. That will give you answer to a question if
there is a lot of kids in the area. After you determine that, check schools as it is explained above.

There are plenty of types of mortgages: open and closed, with variable or fixed rate. There are also a
lot of other things to be discussed with your lender, such as
– annual payment increases
– what are prepayment penalties
– is there any lump–sum or double–up payments
– interest rate differentials
– penalties to discharge and portability
– last but not the least: hidden fees.
Make sure to write down this check list and be ready to discuss it with your lender. Here is a simple
mortgage math: lenders require applicants to meet certain Total Debt Service and Gross Debt
Service (TDS and GDS) ratios. These ratios may vary from lender to lender but usually GDS should
be 28% – 32% and TDS ratio should be less than 40%. TDS formula:(interest + principle + loan

CLOSING DAYS IN MONTH TO AVOID – this is a very helpful tip. In all that excitement about

You want to avoid Fridays and last 3–4 days at the end of the month. Moving companies are usually
a lot busy on Fridays. Days at the end of the month are typically the busiest time for real estate

Key Assumptions Check Analysis
Key Assumptions Check A key assumptions check is best used at the beginning of an investigation
for a number of reasons. The CIA defines Key Assumptions as "any hypothesis that analysts have
accepted to be true and which forms the basis of the assessment." (CIA, 2009) Our key assumptions
about the "Crips" are that we know where they operate due to neighborhood tags (graffiti) or an
abundance of individuals sporting blue or purple colors. Hypothesize where the most abundant
violence will occur based on police reports from the past 6 months. Additionally, it is also important
to analyze where they get their money from. Examine drug related arrests attributed to the "Crips"
organization. Open source gang databases like streetgangs.com offer an in depth look at gang
locations and demographics. Additionally, the National Gang Intelligence Center, hosted by the FBI,
contains a bevy of collected information on gangs throughout the country to

This keeps the analysis honest. Pay attention to the new information to determine if the key
assumption has been debunked so the team can work on something more accurate. Key assumption
checks can also determine if the information already collected must be reviewed for currency. Has
violence been prevalent in Compton over the last few years but has slowly shifted to Lynwood, just
North of Compton? By making key assumptions, you create a starting point for your specific
intelligence problem. It's fortunate that gang databases have such a wealth of information on the
most dangerous gangs so duplication of effort is avoided when possible. There is a possibility of
cognitive biases creeping into the mission with key assumptions. Keep logs of what key
assumptions pan out can also help combat these biases within the organization. Remember to remain
objective throughout the investigation by relying on facts to bolster key

Pros And Cons Of Merit Selection
There are currently three procedures that are used to select judges. These methods are as follows:
executive appointment, election, and merit selection. The goal is to use a process that picks the best
judge or the most qualified and experienced. Each process has its pros and cons but there is one that
easily stands out from the others. When a judge is selected through executive appointment, the
governor or legislature from the state they are in will choose them from a large selection of possible
candidate. Traditionally, this process gives all of the power to appoint a judge solely to the governor.
This process is the least effective of all three. There are zero states who still solely practice this
method traditionally and there is a good reason for that. Essentially, the governor of a state can
purely pick any eligible candidate. A governor could appoint someone that would help them further
their political agenda. This is not a reasonable way to select a good candidate. There has to be
regulations and systems in place that choose the most qualified candidate. Many states utilize
executive appointment but have added methods to keep the governor in check. For example, in New
Jersey a governor can

their political status or their social links. The most important pro of merit selection is that the
absolutely most qualified candidate is chosen based on their history. There is no other process that
could weed out the unqualified candidates and pick the best person for the job. That is why this
process is without a doubt the most appropriate way to appoint a

Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branch work together. This is known as Check and Balance
system. This system was created to make sure no one branch becomes too powerful. The first branch
is the Legislative Branch. The Legislative Branch job is to write laws. In the Legislative Branch
there are two houses. House of Representative and Senate. Senate is the upper house and House of
Representative is the lower house. The Senate has the power is to decide if the president is guilty or
not breaking a law. There are one hundred senators all together but only two to each state. House of
Representative has the power to start the process of impeachment if two third of the representatives
agree. House of Representative depends on population, which makes big states happy while the
Senate does not depend on population which makes small states happy. The second Branch is
Executive. Executive Branch job is to enforce laws. The Executive Branch consists of the president,
vice president, and cabinet. The president has many powers like being Commander– In– Chief of the
army, make treaties with other countries, reject laws, and suggests the judges for supreme court. In

going to court is, case goes to Local court. If you're not happy with the decision that is made then
you go to the Appeal court. If you still aren't happy with the decision that was made then you go to
the Supreme court. After that you are going to have to deal with the decision that is made because

Checks And Balances: Article Analysis
Article II of the constitution outlines the powers of the president, however, the checks and balances
of the other branches of government limit them. After the 1960s, historians argued that the
presidential power had become extremely powerful that an "imperial presidency" existed (Lamb,
2015). This has caused an imbalance in power within the legislative branch, giving more control to
the presidency. "Congress has been taking themselves out of the game for several decades now"
(Kamark, 2013). At this rate, the checks and balances of the branches of government will be thrown
out of proportion, thus making it suitable for the House of Representatives to make a lawsuit against
the president's executive orders. Originally, executive orders and

businesses simply take a more involved roll in finding out who they are hiring to make sure that they

Virtue Ethics refers to "a moral theory that focus on the development of virtuous character" (Pojam

The ethical dilemmas presented in "Check Kiting" are: the customer committing the check kiting
crime is a close personal friend of Scott's wife and is also involved in an off again, on–again
personal relationship with Scott's boss. Additionally, the customer is the chief financial officer of the

are not doing anything to combat check kiting. Check kiting is illegal and should be considered as a
crime. There must be a moral code that all parties involved must follow by in order to avoid a case
like this.
(B) Belief– If I were in Scott's situation then I would be as uneasy as he and be aware of the
unethical actions that the customer has committed. I would want to think long and hard before
choosing the course of action for stopping this particular kiting case. In this situation and given the
circumstance, I believe the greatest number will be served. The damaged reputation or the loss of a

Why Are Check And Balances Important
Check and Balances, why are the important today ? Well to start off the Constitution divided the
Government into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. That was an important decision
because it gave specific powers to each branch and set up something called checks and balances.
When the constitution split them up it gave them the chance to figure out how their going to handle
our laws and things like that. First let's see what each branch represents. The legislative branch
makes laws that only the president of the executive branch could veto. The Judicial branch can also
declare the laws the create unconstitutional. The executive branch, through the Federal agencies, has
responsibility for day–to–day enforcement and administration

Checks And Balances Research Paper
The Texas government and the United States government executes multiple systems to ensure that
the system of democracy that the people want is fair and executed properly. This means by ensuring
everything within the government is done fairly then the system would not be corrupt with one
underlying power or system. In our day to day business, in the U.S. and Texas government, we
normally have checks and balances to ensure that we do not make mistakes. The system of Checks
and Balances is where each branch of government has the ability to limit the actions of the other
branches. The system of checks and balances includes separation of power, which is a term used to
describe the three separate branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial.
Coincidentally, checks and balances and the separation of powers are closely related. All of the
branches of government are limited and checked by each other. The legislative branch is checked by
the executive branch. The executive branch will sign into law what is agreed upon in the legislative
branch. They continuously have to agree upon the decisions or they will not be passed unless they

Background Check: A Case Study
As we all have probably experienced, there are many careers that require a clean background check.
If individuals do not have a good background check, they may be denied the job position promptly.
A background check does not harm anyone but instead is beneficial for others safety concerns.
Professional Physicians Individuals visit their physician
's office thinking they will be in safe hands.
Most of us will not fathom that our physicians may also have a corrupt background and never
question them about anything like that. According to the Associated Press (2016), they specified that
there are no states that expect physicians to warn their clients that they have been punished for any
sorts of misconduct. If information like this was floating around the hospital

There are many misconducts that may happen and if the patient does not have knowledge of that,
that can place them in a vulnerable situation. The Associated Press (2016) revealed that most
physicians on trial will be followed with an assistant with full supervision, but they may also be
limited from practicing without guidance. This is not an advantageous situation to the patient and
they may become the next victim without having any warning.
Debate
The Associated Press (2016) stated that there is a debate in California whether or not physicians
should advise their patients of their blemished background. Others have stated that if physicians are
required to inform their patients of such things then they are being treated unethically, because they
will not have the opportunity to protect themselves before seeking the medical board (Associated
Press, 2016). There are obviously a list of pros and cons that this debate contains, but when it comes
to the safety of patients there is clearly one truthful answer.

Importance Of Checks And Balances
I think the most important feature of the U.S Constitution is the Checks and Balances because it
helps to prevent any one branch from gaining too much power. One example is The Legislative
Branch, Congress can make a law. But if the President disapproves of the law, then the President can
reject it. However, Congress can impeach the President and bring it to court. If two–thirds of the
members of both houses, the senate, and the House representatives vote to approve the law then the
law is passed. First, the Legislative branch is made up of two houses of Congress which are the
Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate is composed of 100 Senators, 2 for per
state. The House of Representatives is made of 435 elected members, separated

My Reality Check Essay
My Reality Check
Two things didn't mix well in my life. One was being a full time student and the other an athlete.
It was great not having parents around telling you to do your homework or to go to class, of which I
never did. I had a choice, which was more important, playing lacrosse or studying. Like any first
year college student I picked lacrosse. At that point I didn't realize what I was getting myself into.
Who at that age would know either?
My worst nightmare came true in the summer of 1989. I was academically dismissed from the
university. I thought to myself "no way, this could never happen to me, I played lacrosse, had a
girlfriend, and I was popular, how could this have happened". The worst part of the whole

This proved to be beneficial, for I received a 3.67 grade point average for that semester. That spring

I proceeded to reapply back to my former university and was accepted. I gradated with over a 3.0 in
my major and was offered a job in Washington D.C.
Being dismissed from college was one experience that I have never regretted and never will. I can
see why this happened; I was a student athlete, which doesn't mix. Being an athlete in college I had
to practice Monday through Saturday, I was always tired, too tired to study and go to class. I did
learn a couple things though, sportsmanship, self–discipline, teamwork, cooperation, and
concentration. Too bad none of these attributes rubbed off on my schooling. The university said that
they would help me out with my schoolwork but that was just a lie, one in which they still use today.
The school put me into these "easy" classes which didn't teach me anything except how to fall
asleep in class. The university was only worried about winning games and being nationally
recognized. They didn't help me when I was doing poorly and even after I was dismissed.
After being dismissed I realized a few things, one that the university only cared about my money,
another was that everything I did I did for someone else, and that I was accomplishing

an expanded spear of influence. Because of my line of work, being in the music industry, I'm tested
often as it pertains to the integrity test. Many times, I am around faithless people who do not have
values and morals. I have to decide between blending, or say what is right according to the word of
God
. The most recent situation is when I was asked to say that a specific person wasn't involved in
one of the writing sessions so that everyone else would make more money. I refused to do it because
a little extra money in my pocket wouldn't be worth my witness and relationship with God.
The obedience check is when the leader must learn to recognize, understand, listen and obey God's
voice. Just yesterday I experienced a situation where I had to be obedient to God's word. A friend of
mine called me speaking very negatively and at that moment God told me to stand in the gap and
say what she couldn't say. I did, and she got very upset with me. However, she called me back today

I believe based on the definition that I experience the word check in many ways and often. God
place on my heart several years ago, to return back to school. I gave every excuse of why I couldn't
go back to school, and made a list of everything that I didn't have. But I am grateful that God begin
to work his word in me. I had received a word from God and I stared to stand on the word of God.
The more I stood on his word, the more a higher education became my desire and I made up my

Checks and Balances
Checks and Balances. Checks and balances is a system that is a part of out U.S. Constitution. This
system was put in to place so that no part of government would have too much power. The three
branches: judicial, legislative and executive are constantly granting and checking the other branches
actions, this is to make sure no one person can gain an excessive amount of control in government.
For example according to ," the legislative branch is in charge of making laws. The executive branch
can veto the law, thus making it harder for the legislative branch to pass the law. The judicial branch
may also say that the law is unconstitutional and thus make sure it is not a law.The legislative
branch can also remove a president or judge that is not doing his/her job properly. The executive
branch appoints judges and the legislative branch approves the choice of the executive branch.
Again, the branches check and balance each other so that no one branch has too much power".

System Of Checks And Balances In The Constitution
The system of checks and balances in the Constitution is important because it helps to prevent any
one branch of government from gaining too much power. The three main branches are the
Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Here are some examples; The President can vote for a bill to be
passed by Congress, preventing it from becoming law. This is an executive branch check on the
legislative branch. In turn, the Congress can vote to override that vote with a two thirds majority in
both the Senate and House, and the bill will become law. This is a Legislative check on the
Executive branch. Finally, the Supreme Court, when ruling on a case, decide to use its power of
judicial review to declare some law of Congress or act of the President
