certification. Consider a construction project where a certified electrician must perform certain work
activities. The human resource requirements of a legal project may involve someone with a degree and a
license. Another requirement might relate to their availability.
The project manager creates the list of human resource requirements. He will also seek input from the

activities and the resources demanded by those activities, considering the availability of
resources and the time required in the project. If it is a correct allocation of resources, it

usefulness. But this can bring challenges in this assignment, such as knowing what resources to
allocate and being able to manage them throughout the duration of the project as long as in an
appropriate way.

used to support and engage personnel in project management? Answer in 300 – 350 words.
Proper Human Resource Management (HRM) methods, techniques and tools are very important

The human resources department is in charge of covering the appropriate tools and techniques
that they can use to ensure that the company always runs well. With these tools, it is possible to
achieve the goals required by the managers and the objectives of the company, so when this is
achieved, the employees are successful because they were part of the process.
Planning human resources management is the process of determining and witnessing the roles,
responsibilities that are had in the company, the necessary skills and the establishment of a
management plan for the staffing of the project since this can be achieved. meet all the goals
that are required. Therefore, the benefit of this process is that it dictates the functions and
responsibilities of the project, the organization charts of the project since with this allows the
company to know how decisions should be made and the personnel management plan.
There are several ways to document the roles and responsibilities of team members, which as is
known is a fundamental part within a company to avoid conflicts and confusion within the
members.
Formats are typically classified into three types: hierarchical, matrix, and text-oriented.
Additionally, some project rewards are listed in subsidiary plans, such as risk management,
quality or communications plans.
It is said that whatever method the company wishes to use, the objective is to ensure that all
members of the company know and understand what their functions and responsibilities are,
there are two examples, the hierarchical format where they are shown which are the High-level
functions and the text format is appropriate to testify to the specific responsibilities of each
person within the project.
Q6: Describe the steps involved in negotiating, defining and communicating project role
description. Answer in 50 – 100 words.
The purpose of a project staffing plan is to ensure that the project has enough human resources
to achieve the success of the job.
Defining project roles, a role is defined as the behavior that is expected in a specific job or the
status of an individual or work group for a project and by using the models that are based on
the staffing roles and project management where workers are related to their specific task
assignments, makes this approach help to provide greater clarity between members throughout
the development of the work.

resolve suggestions for project functions.
Communicating clear descriptions of project roles makes projects effective and successful, a
communication plan is valuable.
Q7: What are the methods for ongoing development and training of project team members?
Answer in 200 – 250 words.
About employee training and development, it is about learning, that is, software skills training,
workflow refinement are examples of employee training and development important factors for
each member.
According to the training, it is related to teaching the member of the project team new skills in
order to cooperate to improve their work performance, which is what is analyzed and also to be
more effective at the time of work. Some examples of team member training programs may
include:
-
Training on the use of a new work management software.
-
Training on how to use new machinery to increase productivity.
That is, training is directly related to the objectives proposed by each company and its internal
processes.
In another vein, development is related to improving the skills that members already have. So,
companies invest in workshops on interpersonal communication, tutoring for future leaders,
with the aim that it is a better development of the members more and more at work.
Also, development is related to general skills such as communication, leadership and project
management, since people throughout the job need training.
It is recommended that if you work in a small or medium-sized organization, you can play the
roles of recruiter, trainer and team leader to help both in the training and in the development of
the work members not only at the beginning but throughout the process.

Q8: How would you measure and improve individual’s performance? Answer in 250 – 300
words.
In the performance management cycle, measurement is a phase where it is presumed that the
manager or evaluator (depending on the role chosen by the company) must observe and
guarantee the performance of the objectives already established and thus monitor them in
order to maintain all in the best way without hindrance. However, this drives both overall and
individual performance during the project period.
This generates an effective meaning to the performance management system, since it is a
system for management as has been mentioned and that is not only for the evaluation of
performance but that this measurement entails improvements for the company and and not
only in the evaluation of the performance.
A performance management system is a tool for management, where, it should be noted that
without this performance, the achievement of the objectives set in the company could not be
measured
From the company side, the entire performance management system, mentioned above, would
be measured, together with the monitoring and measurement process, which is designed to
protect the company's strategy and the fulfillment of the corporate objectives that each one of
them makes. Also, the monitoring and measurement provide resources for any after the
development and adjustment of the strategy, but also for the objectives that will be planned in
the future by each one.
Q9: What are the factors that affect the performance of project team members? Describe the
steps involved in monitoring performance of individuals in a project. Answer in 150 – 200
words.
The factors that affect performance are that by not having the difference between exceptional
performance and poor performance, you cannot reward superior performance, nor correct and
develop inferior compliance. And on the part of managers who do not measure performance,
they affect the team since they cannot see where they have to improve the work of their teams.
To begin with, performance monitoring is the systematic summary and analysis of information
related to the execution of the task or job that has been requested. That is, as this task is carried
out, someone must summarize the information to obtain an even clearer picture of the
performance, then first you must know what the objective and the KPI are, which are
measurable signals that demonstrate something that has been achieved or no, to estimate the
KPIs, it is from the beginning during the establishment of the objectives in order to get the
employees already chosen to start with the summary of information immediately.
Q10: What are the issues related to team morale? Describe the method to tackle team morale
issue. Answer in 150 – 200 words.
Employee or team morale is the general perspective that people have regarding their
organization or business. In this context, it refers to the trust that individuals and groups have in
a company or organization.
When team morale is high, it means that your employees are satisfied and committed to their
work. Conversely, when morale is low, it means that your employees are dissatisfied. It is
important to pay attention so you can identify when someone is suffering from burnout or if
they feel disconnected from their work. These are very general examples, but there are many
factors that can affect employee morale.
The method to tackle is:
-
It must be reinforced that the project team has the necessary support in any area to
complete the work of the project, and the role of the team is to provide the manager
with what he or she needs to succeed.
-
Build trust with your team
-
Give recognition
-
Run a realistic company
-
Train managers
Q11: What is the role of interpersonal communications, counselling and conflict resolution in
maintaining a positive working culture in an organisation? Answer in 150 – 200 words.
The role of interpersonal communications is a very important skill for the project manager to be
able to guide his project team well and not have obstacles in the development of the project.
And this interpersonal skill is having the sufficiency of establishing a correct relationship with
others.
Counselling is an advisory service that is according to the needs of each project, generally it is
from a person with more experience to a person with less experience in a specific subject that is
required. And this, can be an ongoing service and can be used at any point in a person's career
to improve performance.
And finally, the conflict, when the project management plan is established, a conflict resolution
is included, that is, as in every field, conflicts can be generated for some type of reasons within
the project that is presented, therefore, The goal of this project team is to work together and
understand and respect each individual's views on tasks and in their professional field. There
are several steps in conflict resolution models that are normally accepted as the norm and
adopted by organizations as their conflict resolution procedures and the number of steps they
must take to resolve is according to needs.
Q12: What is inter-project and intra-project human resource conflict? How can you manage
these conflicts? Answer in 200 – 250 words.
In the classification of conflicts we find intergroup and intragroup conflicts. We often find
ourselves in situations of competition between groups, and intergroup confrontation seems
inevitable. This would be the case, for example, between companies.
People who are on the fringes of the group are often the ones who best handle issues with the
outside, so that often being in the center, at the head, is unfavorable for the management of
intergroup conflicts. High levels of intergroup deadlock lead to stress for members on the inside,
to the point of focusing more and more on compliance with internal rules to avoid discomfort.
On the other hand, we find intragroup conflict. In this case, the conflict is between members of
the same group. It is the one that would occur within a company. The difference between
intragroup and intergroup conflict is that one occurs within a group and the other occurs in the
relationship between two groups.
Good conflict management by a leader can prevent these disagreements from becoming a
major problem at work. To identify possible sources of conflict, it is essential to maintain close
contact with the other members of the team. This is the only way to prevent the situation from
escalating to a larger scale.
Adopting company philosophies such as Happy shifting, which encourages a good atmosphere
and the recognition of a job well done, will also help to keep conflicts at bay in the office.
Q13: Write a brief note on disbanding of the project team. Answer in 200 – 250 words
According to the closing of the project, the most difficult point is the dissolution of the project
team, and this must begin to be planned before the closing, if it is not done correctly it can lead
to the misallocation of candidates who are not valid for the project. and likewise, the dismissal
of employees who do not deserve that decision. The dissolution should be done through
organizational policies and procedures where they should take a moment to celebrate the
achievements, knowing what the future development of the individual and the team will be.
And regarding the project manager with a meeting can dissolve with excellent conclusions for all
team members.
Congratulate each member of the team because they completed everything that was proposed
with their objectives from the beginning, and emphasize the role of each one, and also generate
a discussion about what were the problems that arose among the members or among the
management.
Also, ask how they think they used their skills or how they could use them in a future project.
Generate a meeting with positive notes, creating an open but positive debate by listening to the
opinions of the members who helped.
Finally, ask what they learned that could lead to future projects with their skills already exposed
in the project and views, and what types of future projects could be expanded according to the
project already completed.
Q14: List any seven (7) methods used to identify human resource issues. Answer in 50 – 100
words
Each time a project is completed, it must be reviewed and evaluated how successful and true
each point of the project has been, thus establishing which areas could be improved for future
projects.
