Surname: 1 Author’s Name: Instructor’s Name: Affiliated Institution: Course Code: Submission Date: My Personal Leadership Development Plan What is the major thing you have learned about yourself and building your authentic leadership through this personal leadership development process and the creation of your leadership development plan? The primary thing I have learned about myself and building my authentic leadership through this PLD process is that I needed to come up with more specific and concrete details about myself to enhance and improve on authentic leadership qualities that I was not aware of (Braden 4). The PLD process brought out and helped me to know my most reliable characteristics, including being an authentic leader with specific visions, more endurance, a leader with the ability to uphold robust relationships within a group, and a leader with self- discipline. I learned from the PLD program that I am a visionary leader who can stay on course and ward off the hurdles endurance the challenges that may impede my achievement of both personal and team goals (George et al. 7). I also learned that I could become a self-disciplined leader with the capacity to uphold strong relationships within a group.
Surname: 2 Write a memo to yourself outlining two of your major strengths as a team member One of my unique strengths as a team player is establishing and maintaining strong bonds and good rapport with my colleagues. This helps me to gain trust and foster work performance (George et al. 9). Secondly, I have the ability to minimize and resolve any forms of conflict. If you were your team's manager, what feedback would you provide to the team members so that they can take their performance from good to great? Write a memo to the team. The team did an incredible job of coordinating and collaborating while delivering on each person’s respective obligations. It was apparent that every team member has unique strengths on which the team capitalized on to make the best out of every person and yield the best work performance. The roles of every member were split and delegated based on each member’s weaknesses and strengths. Therefore, the overall work done was generally effective and efficient because workloads were allocated to the most specialized worker on board (Braden 6). However, the team would become more efficient if we can formulate better communication strategies. Most of the hurdles encountered were attributed to poor communication protocols since the team relied mostly on email as the only means of communication. It has since been established that emails cannot be relied upon, especially in case of emergencies. Otherwise, all the remaining features of the team were spotless.
