1 Uber’s Promotional Campaign Trends Student Institution Course Date
2 Uber’s Promotional Campaign Trends Uber is a common company in the modern-day transportation sector. Uber does not limit its users to simply rides, but they can also send packages to various destinations and request food from restaurants (Farris et al., 2014). Uber uses diverse marketing strategies as its promotional campaign tools. The strategies have been proven to guarantee cash flow for Uber. The drastic rise in the adoption of the latest technology trends in everyday life has exacerbated the cause of promotional campaigns. ‘Doors are always opening’ by Uber was its initial global campaign which paved the way for its brand marketing. The promotional campaign told the story of the ability of riders to unlock incredible experiences and opportunities. The campaign presented the door frame of a car as the gateway to diverse opportunities, as shown below. Ideally, Uber was seeking innovative approaches to reach its audience through untapped media (Ganguly, Das, & Farr, 2017). The campaign created a memorable experience that fit its primary objective. https://www.thedavidkeller.com/uber-doors
3 Consequently, Uber collaborated with 72andSunny Amsterdam to create the ‘Safety Never Stops’ campaign. The promotional campaigns seek to communicate Uber’s persistent commitment to safety as a transportation company (Anđelković, Stanković, & Mrdak, 2023). As shown below, the message in the campaign is quite serious, while the campaign is light-hearted and humorous to engage the audience and maintain their focus. The 'Safety Never Stops' campaign is designed to increase awareness levels of Uber's safety measures by using an innovative briefing concept. https://www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/uber-safety-stops-72andsunny-amsterdam/1581317 In sum, Uber has developed into a universal transportation company as a result of its excellent freight transportation, ride-hailing, and food delivery. Uber smartly utilizes social media sites including YouTube, Instagram, X, and Facebook to pass promotional messages to its audience. Overall, Uber is remarkable at creating promotional campaigns to encourage user- generated content and innovative marketing strategies.
