It is time for you to introspect and introduce yourself to your colleagues. 3. This assignment is to motivate you (the student) to think about your own individual contextual knowledge. 4. It provides you an opportunity to think about your professional vision in terms of career options after graduation. 5. You need to think about and adopt a structured approach in bridging the gap between your current knowledge and your projected professional vision by reviewing, comprehending, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating the topics scheduled to be covered in the course, Tasks: Think about the Purpose of this assignment, review the Outcomes of the course identified in the course syllabus, and then develop a report on your Professional Vision covering the following specific components : A. The Context Describe the reasons and rationale for you to attempt and complete this assignment. B. My Introduction - Identify your name and describe anything about you that you may like to share with your colleagues. C. My Vision - In a couple of sentences, describe what is your professional vision for your future? D. Program at Webster University - Describe the program you are pursuing at Webster University. E. Program-Vision Relationship Describe how does successful completion of this course (ITN 5200) and the Program you are pursuing, fit into your professional vision . F. Organization - Identify any one small or medium size specific Organization you are familiar with, that you may use to explore the application of concepts learned in this course. and provide a brief description of the organization including its overall objective, products/services and operations. G. Additional Information - Any additional information you may like to share? H. Conclusion - Describe, in a few sentences, the influence completing this assignment has on your professional vision.
You may either develop the report within the text box or, if you prefer, you may use the template ( Intro-YourName.docx ) provided. Criteria for Success: 1. Irrespective of your professional vision, conceptualizing, planning, organizing and managing projects will become an integral part of your responsibilities in future. 2. Whether functioning as a supervisor or manager at the operations, middle management or senior management level, you will be expected to develop professional memos and reports which will be utilized for decision making. Hence the critical requirement, that such memos and reports should explicitly document the author’s opinions, conclusions, and recommendations in an effective and efficient manner. The general and/or specific reasons for developing the reports should be identified. The relevant facts, data and results should be furnished in a highlighted, graphical, tabular, or bullet-formats to provide unambiguous understanding so that the stated facts, conclusions and recommendations can be reviewed and evaluated efficiently. Just a glance at any submitted assignment should enable the reader to verify that all the expected requirements of the assignment have been addressed fully. 3. In any report, consciously directing your thinking process to start with a conceptual framework for the report and thinking through the Context, the key assignment questions, and concluding your learning experiences are extremely important requirements that you should meet and/or attempt to exceed. 4. There is no required length or word-count in the report; just make sure that all the specifically identified components are explicitly covered and distinctly identified . 5.
