2 Part A Starbucks Corporation is a multinational organizational chain of roaster reserves and coffeehouses based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is among the largest coffeehouse chain globally and has more than 32660 coffee shops around the world. Since it was established back in 1971 by Gordon Bowker, Jerry Baldwin, and Zev Siegl, the company has been experiencing constant growth due to the selective and unique strategies it uses in its operations. In essence, Starbucks Corporation's growth and development have resulted from its generic strategy of highlighting its products and services' specialty. Particularly, the organization has been focusing on differentiating its products and services from its rivalry companies (THOMPSON, 2020). In other words, the organization's generic competitive strategy has enabled Starbucks management to set their coffee business apart from its rival entities, thereby leading the industry. Currently, Starbucks Corporation is striving to retain its global position in its industry by applying intensive strategies for growth and expansion. In essence, the company uses a combination of intensive growth strategies to influence and stimulate its growth and expansion globally. In essence, it is because of intensive strategy that the company has successfully expanded its operations beyond borders. In collaboration with its generic strategy, Starbucks utilizes its intensive strategy to remain on top of its major competitors (THOMPSON, 2020). In other words, the company aligns intensive growth strategies with its generic strategy, which has helped to strengthen or maximize its competitive advantage in terms of potential success and performance. The entity's main focus has been on simultaneous implementation of intensive growth strategies to expand its presence in the international market and offer quality products to its consumers worldwide.
3 Part B Xerox Holdings Corporation is an organization based in America that deals with selling print and digital document products and services. For the organization, sending printed documents to multiple customers was becoming complex as the number of customers increased significantly. As such, the company had to adopt the digital approach, which was based on a technical knowledge-sharing system to enable it to share more of its content to multiple customers effectively and efficiently. Nevertheless, the digital system presented to the organization numerous concerns that the management needed to consider to make the sharing process more reliable and efficient. One such potential mechanism of intellectual property rights that Xerox management needs to consider include filing copyright. In essence, the ease of copying and modifying digital material has raised basic regards to the management where content is in the vulnerability of theft (National Research Council, 2000). By filing a copyright for its content, the company will prevent duplication of its content by unauthorized individuals. Besides, the management could consider using Technical Protection for its digital products and services. Technical Protection is an approach that will enable the organization to efficiently control the distribution of its digital intellectual products and services throughout the online platforms. Also, Encryption is another potential intellectual property right that Xerox can put into consideration. Here, the company will be able to scramble and unscramble content, thereby protecting its items against unauthorized disclosure or modification of content while in storage and transmission (National Research Council, 2000). All these considerations will enable the organization to transform into digital platforms without experiencing any potential challenges that could distort its online-based customers' delivery services.
