am from Milwaukee, WI. I am a mother of two. I currently work remotely in the medical field as a liaison for uninsured and under-insured patients. I decided that I am ready for a change and have been wanting to go back to school for a while now. I pushed myself to complete the necessary steps of enrolling for my BS in Human Resources through some challenges. Pushing through those challenges were my first steps of taking ownership. Taking ownership for me means holding myself accountable. Since I work full time and also have children who require my time and attention I know that I have to maximize my free time to get my work completed. In one of the videos a mother asked her son if he spent enough time writing his paper since he was not happy with the grade that he received. He had not, so he was able to recognize that he needed to spend more time on his work, so that the quality would afford him a better grade. What I took from that was that he was able to both hold himself accountable as well take ownership moving forward. What motivates me as a student is being on the path of accomplishing my goals. I have a son who is also in college. I want to show him not to give up when things get tough as I have in the past. I look forward to learning and obtaining tools for a successful career.
