Topics: Task 1 (800 words) - You work for the consulting firm Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC), who have been approached by the organisation (you have chosen Tesla) to consider a different organisational structure for their company. Task 2 (800 Words)- You are a manager in a company operating in the UK. You have read an article on digitisation and mentioned it in a meeting where senior management was present. As a result they have asked you consider how digitisation has impacted your company. Assessment Brief Activity - Individual Portfolio - Task 1 Write a report that advises an organisation of your choice on the following areas: · Critically analyse the organisational structure your organisation has chosen, make suggestions to the board as to another structure they may like to adopt explaining why. Consider the impact that the change you have suggested would have on the organisation and how you would successfully manage the change. For each area, use the subject knowledge we have discussed in sessions to answer the questions posed, try to utilise contemporary subject knowledge where you can. This are additional instructions for the task 2 • Your ideas have to be realistic within the capabilities of the organisation you have chosen. • The document should adhere to formal report structure, ie have an introduction, main body, conclusion and recommendations sections. • All elements of the assessment are individual pieces of work and you are reminded of the "fit to sit policy described in the module on Unilearn • Each section of the portfolio will be given a mark out of 100 that will then be weighted to 25% of the overall grade. • You are reminded of the rules regarding plagiarism described in the module on Unilearn and although in this assignment multiple submissions are permitted on Turnitin, be aware that there is a 24hr delay before the previous submission is overwritten. The recommended word count excludes the reference list, topsheet, table of contents, appendices section and any direct quotations. Correctly referenced paraphrased statements are likely to attain more marks than direct quotations. • Referencing should be based on the USW Harvard system. Marks will be lost for poor referencing . Attention should be paid good presentation Marking Criteria/Rubric Note: All grades are provisional until they are ratified by the exam board. workshop sessions as there will not be the opportunity to practice many of the skills this assessment requires in lectures.
