Arbitration Services
Arbitrators are independent litigators that help solve disputes between parties. This type of litigation is solved out of the court system but use the same court-based expertise in the deciding factor and judgment. Arbitrators hear all perspectives of the parties involved, including the evidence presented and then create settlements for each party to legally agree to.
Qualifications
Each state has different qualifications to become an arbitrator.
Bachelor’s degree in law or related profession degree.
Years of experience before application to arbitration panel.
Ethical Considerations or Concerns
Arbitrators should stay neutral in this process of litigation to avoid conflicts of interests. A conflict of interest could taint or influence the overall judging process of this form of ADR. There are different codes of ethics arbitrators should follow in their profession.
