Reflection for Course Overview and Evidence Leveling Navigation Tool Cohorts
The course overview cohort was very helpful in providing detailed information for the competencies and
assignment requirements for this class. It has tips to help with completion of performance assessments. It also describes the supporting documents needed to complete the tasks. The CPE record is detailed as well and very easy to understand. The first performance assessment described goes along with the CPE record. The cohort breaks down instruction through all three phases of this task to help the student understand the deliverables. In addition, the cohort reviews the competencies to be demonstrated through the second performance assessment. This recording has been beneficial for me because I feel that I have a better understanding of how to demonstrate competency for this class.
The WGU Evidence Leveling Navigation Tool cohort is also very helpful for this course. This tool is an excellent algorithm for identifying research and leveling evidence. The cohort also provided detailed information about how to work through this navigation tool to level evidence. It starts out with determining research versus expert opinion. Also whether the research is a qualitative or quantitative study. The algorithm continues to determine if the research is a single study or a review. This tool is going to be very helpful when trying to find research to support our project in the second performance assessment.
