• My area of interest is Information Technology (IT). IT is an essential skill set with significant value in numerous industries. This field has dramatically transformed how we communicate, work, and conduct business today. Information technology is now an essential part of our lives. It involves using computers, software, and communication technologies to solve problems and automate processes. With a thorough grasp of its fundamentals, individuals can develop complex programs and applications to solve real-world problems. While pursuing an associate degree in biology, I became fascinated with information technology and its vast potential. Technology's fast-paced development is changing how we handle information, from processing to storage and sharing. Various industries, including healthcare, benefit from Information Technology by using machine learning algorithms for diagnosis and two- factor authentication protocols for global transactions and to improve patient care and streamline operations. It has sparked several ethical concerns and questions, like how organizations can ensure user privacy and data security when using facial recognition technology and healthcare data. This research will assist organizations and individuals who use or consider using facial recognition technology to understand its ethical implications better and make informed decisions about its use. This research helps organizations understand facial recognition technology, its ethical concerns, and ways to protect user privacy and data security. Organizations must implement encryption and access controls and comply with data privacy laws like Colorado's privacy law and the California Privacy Rights Act. Compliance with regulations can help organizations ensure user privacy and data security and prioritize patient privacy and data security when implementing facial recognition technology. Future research should identify best practices to ensure this technology's responsible and ethical use.
