Good afternoon, members of the executive panel. I appreciate everyone for taking the time to hear the proposal today. My name is Lois, and I supervise a software development team at Optimum Way Development, Inc. I want to suggest a research topic that could benefit our organization and the industry relevant to my field. The specific research question I propose is how organizations can ensure user privacy and data security when using facial recognition technology and healthcare data.

My area of interest is Information Technology (IT). IT is an essential skill set with significant value in numerous industries. This field has dramatically transformed how we communicate, work, and conduct business today. Information technology is now an essential part of our lives. It involves using computers, software, and communication technologies to solve problems and automate processes. With a thorough grasp of its fundamentals, individuals can develop complex programs and applications to solve real-world problems. Therefore, Information Technology is in high demand in today's job market. This Photo

While pursuing an associate degree in biology, I became fascinated with information technology and its vast potential. Technology's fast-paced development is changing how we handle information, from processing to storage and sharing. Various industries, including healthcare, benefit from Information Technology by using machine learning algorithms for diagnosis and two-
factor authentication protocols for global transactions and to improve patient care and streamline operations. It has sparked several ethical concerns and questions, like how organizations can ensure user privacy and data security when using facial recognition technology and healthcare data. This research will assist organizations and individuals who use or consider using facial recognition technology to understand its ethical implications better and make informed decisions about its use. This research helps organizations understand facial recognition technology, its ethical concerns, and ways to protect user privacy and data security. It also examines the pros and cons of the technology and its legal implications

What are the possible dangers of employing facial recognition technology in healthcare environments? Facial recognition technology in healthcare requires sensitive information collection and storage. Examples of sensitive information include medical records of patients, facial images, and biometric data. Providers must evaluate the technology's benefits against risks and take proactive measures to safeguard patient privacy and security. Breaches can have severe consequences. To prevent identity theft and fraud, providers must ensure robust security measures, including regular system updates, data encryption, and stringent access controls
What and how are the rules, user privacy, and data security in healthcare facial recognition technology? Entities collecting biometric data must obtain consent and cannot use it for profit. While some guidelines and regulations exist, ongoing efforts are needed to ensure responsible and ethical use. Government hospitals are mainly governed by regulations when it comes to using facial recognition technology. It is because there are concerns about possible privacy breaches. Facial recognition technology in healthcare settings can improve security and patient care but raises concerns about user privacy and data security. Data hygiene, transparency, and user communication can build trust and ensure privacy. Organizations must implement encryption and access controls and comply with data privacy laws like Colorado's privacy law and the California Privacy Rights Act. Compliance with regulations can help organizations ensure user privacy and data security and prioritize patient privacy and data security when implementing facial recognition technology. Future research should identify best practices to ensure this technology's responsible and ethical use.
Optimum Way Development, Inc. is a software application development company catering to diverse healthcare, finance, and transportation industries. Our clients put their faith in us to provide them with reliable and foolproof solutions to their problems. We prioritize research and development that reinforces the security of our software. The research question I propose is crucial for our company because it will enable us to improve the security of our software applications. This commitment instills trust and reliability in our clients, leading to more significant revenue and profitability for our company. The research also benefits our clients by providing security solutions to safeguard their data and assets.
