The Network Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the network security infrastructure for our Managed Services customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco Meraki technologies, as well as a strong understanding of network security principles, best practices, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security devices. The Network Security Engineer will also be responsible for conducting security assessments, responding to security incidents, and have the skills to implement and manage our security solutions effectively. Responsibilities:  Design, implement, and manage network security solutions using Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco Meraki platforms.  Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security mechanisms to ensure network integrity.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security requirements and develop strategies to protect the organization's network infrastructure.  Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses.  Monitor security logs and alerts to promptly respond to security incidents and breaches, mitigating potential risks.  Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization's security posture.  Provide technical expertise and support to the IT team for network security-related issues and projects.  Document security configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.  Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.  Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical security incidents. Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.  Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto Networks PCNSA/PCNSE, and Cisco Meraki certifications are a plus.  Strong hands-on experience with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco Meraki solutions.  Proficiency in network security concepts, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention, VPNs, and network segmentation.  Knowledge of routing and switching protocols, network architecture, and design principles.  Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network security issues.

 Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document solutions, and present security recommendations.  Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  Experience with scripting languages and automation tools for security-related tasks is a plus.
