Project Check-in 1: Project Overview: This project aims to address the challenges by: Developing a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) called "CardioSage" to assist in CVD diagnosis and treatment recommendation. Integrating extensive medical guidelines and research into the CDSS to ensure evidence-based decision-making. Key Milestones Achieved: Milestone 1: Gathered the dataset from reliable sources, ensured it's relevant to analysis objectives. Verified the quality and completeness of the data. Analyzed and understood the key attributes and their role such as: Blood pressure, Body measures, Muscle strength - grip test, Oral health – dentition and Taste & smell in the examination data. Milestone 2: Data Cleaning: Handled missing values and outliers in the dataset. Feature selection is performed by analyzing the correlation between attributes and the target variable. Performed attribute correlation for model interpretability and multicollinearity detection. Correlation after Feature selection: Correlation before Feature selection: Work Planned for the Next Period:
CDSS Model Development. Recommendation Module Integrating Medical Guidelines. Project Check-in 2: Accomplished Milestones: 1. Data Cleaning: Successfully handled missing values and outliers within the dataset to ensure data quality. 2. Feature Selection: Analyzed attribute correlations to determine features relevant to the target variable. 3. Attribute Correlation Analysis: Conducted correlation studies for model interpretability and multicollinearity detection. 4. Model Development: Completed the development of predictive models using Logistic Regression and Naive Bayes algorithms.
Project Status Snapshot: Clinical Guideline Integration: Current primary focus is integrating clinical guidelines with the developed models for Strategic decision making capabilities. User Interface : Refining the user interface to enable seamless interaction with the integrated models and guidelines. Ongoing Tasks: Clinical Guideline Integration: Actively working on merging established medical guidelines into the existing models to enhance decision support. User Interface Enhancement: Refinement of the user interface to ensure optimal visualization and user-friendly interaction. Planned Next Steps: Immediate objectives are integration of clinical guidelines with the existing models, along with continual refinement of the user interface for good usability. Upcoming Tasks: Thorough testing, validation of the integrated models with clinical guidelines and evaluating the decision making. Comprehensive documentation consisting the integrated model, clinical guidelines, and some brief user interface details.
