Creating my Square website was a disappointing experience. While the platform provides tools for customizing your site, the process felt sluggish and overly difficult. Setting up individual items such as logos, banners, and products appeared to be complicated, with a maze-
like layout of screens that frequently left me feeling lost and frustrated. The intricate steps required to reach specific sections of the site made navigation confusing, and the overall setup was not user-friendly. When compared to platforms like Etsy, which I've previously used, Square appeared less intuitive and more time-consuming.
Having failed at a print-on-demand T-shirt business previously, I wanted to improve my knowledge and abilities in digital analytics, which led me to take this course. Although I used Canva to design sweatshirts for the Square website, I later found that it may not have been a requirement for the particular assignment. Despite the challenges faced in this exercise, it provided valuable insights into website customization. However, if given the choice, I would opt for platforms with a more straightforward and user-friendly interface for future endeavors. It's enlightening to explore different platforms, and while Square offers customization, there is room for improvement in terms of user experience and simplicity.
