Job Description Rehanger Labor: SUMMARY: Responsible for hanging all birds on the blue line, dumping birds to go through production and cleaning empty combos. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: 1. Hang birds on every third shackle. 2. Dump combos of birds onto conveyor belt to keep hangers supplied. 3. Keep the area clean. 4. Other duties as assigned. Pay rate: $15.65/hr. (can varies by Facility) Efficiency in hanging the birds is critical for the operation. Without the birds being hung on the line properly or with missed shackles the process of deboning the birds is inefficient and more costly. Incentive for efficiency and accuracy. Weekly and monthly recognition of efficiency for the line. 90-95% efficiency for the week earns the line a taco lunch from the company. 96-100% efficiency earns every employee on the line a bonus of an additional dollar per hour worked for the week. Monthly efficiency of 90-95% earns a pizza/hamburger meal for the line. Monthly efficiency 96-100% an additional $100 bonus. The desired outcome is to increase efficiency of hanging the birds. With increased efficiencies here the rest of the process at the facility will not have downtime and will be able to produce the desired products for the customers orders. Efficiencies for every line are measured daily. Currently there is another department that struggles with attendance and has similar incentives. Additional pay for hours worked if present on time for work every day scheduled, and food on Fridays. This type of incentive for performance would not be out of the realm of ideas that Tyson has used to motivate employees. Additional pay and food have long been part of the culture at Tyson facilities.
