Data Analysis Above is data collected from week 2 of ABA 634, which consists of the acquisition deck 1 and the neutral deck. In Figures 1.1 and 1.2 acquisition deck categories, consist of a graph and raw data collection of 5 data study dates collected showing the highest score from each of the 5 days that trials were done. Then in Figures 2.1 and 2.2 is the neutral deck, a collection of all the previous definition decks from all my previous classes. There are also 5 data points on the graph,
from each of the 5 days trials were done. The data starts on October 2, 2023, and then ends on October 8, 2023. Figure 1.2 shows the acquisition graph using Deck 1 starting on October 2, 2023. The week’s baseline points are 6 accel and 3 decel with second week of studying. For acquisition accel, the final study date I was able to achieve goal 14 accel. This makes the accel acquisition line upward trend line and at the high-level ending for the week. The variability is low because the graph didn’t have any out-of-range outliers. For acquisition decel data had a baseline point of
3 for the week then ended the week with the final decel of 3. This would make acquisition decel data line with a no trend line with low variability. The decel data points are close in number, there is just not a consistent pattern they just stayed at the average of 2 and 3 and most of the points were at 3 decel. Figure 2.1 and Figure 2.2 shows the data for the neutral deck, which consists of all the deck’s definition cards since ABA 620. With the 5 data points I collected on the graph, the data is consistent with the previous data on the graph. I have maintained low variability, no active trend line, and at a moderate level for data. For fluency accel, I stay with an average of 10- 11 making the line still close to straight since no real pattern line of increasing or decreasing. There is also no variability in the data on the accel data collected. The decel data is like the accel, the
decel stayed between the average of 3-2 decel making the trend line close to flat, with no variability with the scores. The only difference from decel fluency is the average was able to stay
more at 2. This graph has always been similar because I have always worked on acquisition data as a priority. I have never in of the classes been able to achieve the decel of 0 for any of the graphs since I focus on the accel score. Study Approach
Antecedent
For SAFMEDS, my goal is to study for a minimum of an hour, and then split my study focus up by days when possible. I have 2 days of studying the decks separately the fluency decks
the acquisition deck, so it will decrease my study time and help with one primary focus area. On weekends, I try to extend my studies if possible and then do most of my studying in the AM. When doing the trials, I also try to be in a new location for studying. Each trial is 30 seconds, then I write each of the scores down, where I study, the amount of time studying, and any factors
affecting it, and then highlight the final score to input later. The first baseline data point is without studying to show the scores before applying study skills. Behavior
For both the acquisition and mastery deck, I study for at least 30 to 45 minutes then, use a
computer timer of 30 seconds to run the trials. All data is collected in the notebook for the week and the class. I could keep most of the study time before 9:30 p.m. and then on weekends finish my study time before 12 p.m. I had a solo deck study and trials of the acquisition deck on 10/04/23 and 10/05/23. Then on 10/03/23 and 10/06/23 I studied and did trials just on the
acquisition decks. Since both of those dates were week dates I studied for 45 minutes and then completed the trials. Consequences
My highest acquisition scores were on the weekend. This is normal because I study earlier, no work, and I have a longer studying time. I was also able to have 2 days of just studying the fluency deck and then 2 days just studying the acquisition deck which helped with to not overwhelm myself with too much information in one day. With the long study times, I was able to reach the goal line of 14 accel on the weekend study dates. I studied around an hour and a half, but my main goal was just to make sure I made it to the 14 accel for acquisition to not
be behind starting the new deck 2. Adjustments
For the adjustment, it will be a whole new deck 2 that I will be starting. I did find a way to study the cards digitally so I will be able to review the decks a little more without carrying them around. I have also been working on starting my day a little earlier to have a better productive week. My goal will be to wake up at 6:45 and start walking or working out to be able to function better throughout the day. Hopefully, this will help with my concentration and not have a feeling of burnout. My goal for the end of the week acquisition will be accel of 6 by end of the week with deck 2.
