Project Name: Renovation of an Apartment Kitchen
Project Description
The project is to renovate the kitchen of an apartment unit. The goal is to
create a modern and functional space for the client. The project will begin with
demolishing the existing kitchen, including removing old cabinets, appliances, and
flooring. This will be followed by the design and planning phase, including
consultation with a designer and selection of new materials. Once the materials
have been purchased, the installation process will begin, which will involve
installing new cabinets, countertops, appliances, and flooring (Fager-Pintilä, 2017).
The finishing touches will include painting the walls and ceiling, installing a
backsplash, and completing a final clean-up. The project will end with a final
inspection by the project manager and approval from the client, marking the
completion of the renovation.
Project Scope
The scope of the project is to renovate an existing apartment kitchen. This
will involve updating and improving the kitchen area's functionality, aesthetics,
and design (Keskiniva et al., 2021). The project will include the removal of old
fixtures and materials, installing new features, painting and finishing, and a final
inspection and clean-up. The goal is to transform the kitchen into a modern,
functional space that meets the owner's needs and preferences.
3
The project scope includes the following deliverables:
- A fully functioning and modern kitchen space
- New flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and plumbing and electrical fixtures
- A fresh coat of paint on walls and cabinets
- Clean and organized kitchen area
The project will require coordination with the apartment owner for design
and material selection and obtaining permits and approvals from relevant
authorities (Schneider, 2018). It will also involve hiring contractors and managing
their work to ensure quality and timely completion.
The project scope includes no significant structural changes to the apartment
or renovations outside the kitchen area. It also does not cover the cost of new
appliances (Schneider, 2018). The project team must complete the renovation
within the specified budget and timeline. Any changes or additions to the project
scope will require approval from the apartment owner.
